Entry #25 and TTA's Warning... connection?

(Yeah, I'm new here. Just posting a theory of mine.)

I've been trying to make connections to 25. After watching every entry and response very carefully, I've found a possible connection in Warning.

Near the end of the response, 'Stay Home' appears. I have two possible theories.

1. TTA is trying to kill Jay. This is unlikely.
2. TTA was attempting to get Jay out of his home via reverse-psycology.

If either of my theories are true, we know that TTA knew the fire was going to happen.

Also, think about the title. TTA was warning Jay of the fire.

Well the "stay home" bit would immediately imply TTA was trying to kill him if he did know the fire was going to happen. Or it was just sarcasm.
Warning was also posted a month ago-- entry ###### was the last TTA video posted (on Jay's account) and it kinda scared him out of his house.

So...maybe? TTA's motives are still really unclear at this point.

Also, welcome to the forums.
And people will probably tell you this should've gone in the Game Discussion or Entry #25 thread, just for a head's up.

Again, I do think it was reverse psycology. Entry ###### could very well have been just another scare tactic.

I don't recall Warning too well, but I recall getting the impression that TTA was mocking J's method of keeping himself cooped up in his house. "Stay Home," "Be Alone" - those are exactly what J did in response to his confrontation with Slendy in The House. TTA used ##### to force J from his apartment, then (I believe) burnt it to show "this what happens when you stay still for too long."

Or something like that. It's not so much "sarcasm" as it mocking. I believe Gatto has it spot-on; he's using scare tactics to push J into what he wants him to do.

New speculation!

Perhaps TTA was mocking & scaring Jay to stir up his emotions, therefore provoking him to do more investigation...

That is likely; after J's confrontation with Slendy, he pulled out of the investigation with the utmost haste. If TTA did cause the "warping door" in J's house, it only reinforces the idea that he was trying to get J back into action.

If he did cause the fire in #25, then it can be taken that he's doing this to force J to get into the investigation; he plays an important part in this (besides being the main character ;P) and Masky needs him for something, otherwise Masky would not need to "take control away from [him]."

Also; I assume that I'm not the only one who believes that, if the fire was caused by Masky, that it's him making it quite clear who's in control here?

I feel like that would be a goal, but a secondary goal, if TTA/Masky is responsible for the fire.

Warning was just that -- 'stay home' and 'be alone' -> 'smile for death'? If you're burning up you're probably wearing a rictus of pain, after all.

anyways, we don't know that TTA was planning to burn Jay's apartment down that early in the game (sorry, sorry, not a game anymore~). I do agree that he was trying to use reverse psychology, but Jay was either too daft or maybe in a bit of a hypnotic state, and took it literally (or else he was planning on staying home in the first place and decided to ignore TTA's response entirely. XD)

Masky's last post was the most in-your-face warning to "leave now" he could have made. He posts it on J's channel and correlates staying in the apartment with death. This comes after another blatant warning called "Warning" with the subtitle "failure nigh". For Masky, J's death = failure. He definitely has been posting to make J leave his apartment so he could burn it down. I doubt he would have started the fire if J was still there - otherwise he would've done it shortly after "Warning".

I think we need to step back and reexamine our assumptions... we're assuming that Slendy is the villain.

Now, the Slender Man mythos is pretty damning, but it's possible the creators have reimagined all that as some kind of otherworldly frame job, and Slendy is actually innocent.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but while Slendy has been displaying some rather stalker-ish behavior and has some rather suspicious powers, he hasn't actually been captured on camera attacking anyone. And if Tim is Masky is TTA, then TTA has been around pretty much every time someone was attacked, and even when we don't explicitly see him, all the "attacks" have occurred in places where we know TTA's been and has access to. What if TTA is the one really messing with people?

Now, why would he be hanging around with these guys, you ask?

Well, I realize the "Alex is the Ark" argument has been done to death, but really, how bizarre a last name is "Kralie?" And it's not even an anagram, the first three letters are just "Ark" reversed.

*snort* I may start calling him 'Xela' now for the heckuvit. Razz

I don't think that we should assume that Slendy is a benign creature, here. He causes horrific side-effects. Even if he's not doing anything actively, he's bad company to keep. Some of his original mythos portrays Slendy as luring children to him for hugs and such before they went missing. It could just be that Slendy has been waiting for the right time, and that his method of hunting has nothing to do with violent acts.

TTA is a crazy bastard and I'm of the opinion that he was the one behind the fire, not Slendy... but just because TTA has been an arse doesn't wash Slendy's hands clean.

This just got ambiguous for me! Did you mean Slendy, or TTA when you said this? XD

I know, I know, but still, "Kralie" sets off some alarms.

But like I said, the creators of MH could have reimagined that as a giant frame-up job, with Slendy getting maligned for a ton of stuff he had nothing to do with.
And while Slendy messes up technology, I'm not certain that the other horrific side effects are entirely his fault... I'm starting to think that TTA is the one with the mind-screw powers, and he's scapegoating Slendy... if nothing else, it would make for a kickass plot twist.

Hmm, good question, actually... I guess both. Embarassed

On the whole "Slendy is being framed!" idea, it's implied he killed Alex's friend in Entry #22. Considering the fact that he outright stalks Alex, and in one entry is chasing him (through teleportation no less), I think we have some evidence that he's not a nice man.

As for Masky/TTA warning J to get out of his apartment, while I guess it's a given that Masky and TTA are the same, I doubt he was trying to use reverse psychology. In Warning he tells J to stay home and be alone....a month before entry #25. In ####### he says that he (or they) are going to stop waiting for him and that they're coming for him. So if he did start the fire it could be his way of saying "Don't Run."

There is simply more evidence (the preexisting mythos, the threatening pre-Masky encounters with SM, Alex bleeding, etc.) to suggest that Slenderman ain't a cuddly widdle friend than there is to support such a theory. It makes much less sense to assume he's a misunderstood good guy than it does to assume he's bad fucking news.
