For those who have been having trouble finding burial sites, or otherwise meeting this trial's requirements: I pointed out to HABIT that I live in a big city so may not be able to find a suitable place to bury my item (this was before I found the convenient log), and he wrote back with this:

I think he might mean something along the lines of wasting as in no one else getting to use it. Or else he wouldn't have said give it to a stranger. [Aka letting someone make use of it whereas water damage would likely ruin that chance ]. Also I would love see someone do that in a video/giving to a stranger that is XD;;;.

I think, if I am reading his emails correctly, the idea of this is sacrifice. So as long as it's recorded, you're giving something up, and "Habit made me do it" is in there...you should be golden.
