I still can't get the dots to appear, tried everything, clearing cache and cookies, ctrl+F5 and even reinstalled firefox(Maybe thats the problem?)

But anyway Marc posted another one of Amy's notes:

Quote:

February 28th 2010
Dear Bianca,
Today I have quit my job. I liked the work, however I just couldn't handle how they were treating people and information. I'm glad I know Samantha, because of her I have met a lot of social contacts. Tonight she dragged me with her to a bar called Wens. It was nice to have some distraction. Sometimes I wish I would be as outgoing as her is … so good at meeting new people and everyone always loves her. I did meet a new guy; he was wearing a leather jacket and destroyed jeans. He reminded me a bit of Fonzie... I gave him my number, so I hope he will call me soon. Samantha wasn't that much into him! She thought he had a bit of a bad guy attitude, but how would Samantha know? She isn't into something like that at all Wink
Amy DeLugi

And according to her employee profile, shes lying about quitting. And being fired over morale issues when your a programmer is weird. I wonder if Ellen is based off what ever she was working on at work. I would assume its infosale and the way Ellen checks profiles for infomation could be the sale was Infosale gets information, i.e sweeping Facebook lol

EDIT: I been looking at the pic of Amy on her employee file and can't help but think of those old 3D comics, its half red and half blue and looks kinda blurry. AM I CRAZY??? I checked in photoshop and could fnd anything hidden, maybe someone else should check.

@ siats, there is a . at the end of amandel's link, remove that and it should work : http://www.infosale.net/email/unknowndots.png

Concerning the picture:
I think you are refering to anaglypgh 3D glasses. However i dont think that there is a hidden message like that in the image. The first thing I checked were levels but there wasnt anything like that either.

Rather than focussing on the image we might have to look at the information it contains. For example we now got Amy's employee-id (011) and with which we can construct her old mail adress. Although thats also just a guess on my part

As with all the other employee nbrs I've tried, got an email "kickback" for empl_011SPLATinfosale.net. Sad

FWIW: sorta moot now but the "period" on the dots.png I posted above isn't hyperlinked so that link works fine, siats.
Have also not seen the dots "appear" on the Home page 'tho their "overlay" on msg4 works fine. TY for Amy's diary entry.

ETA: Ellen has "purged" 5 FB profiles to date, effectively removing their tracking bugs from InfoSale's database imo.
Moonlight(v) is a Cool description of Ellen's enhancement. <3 the irony of Ellen saying: "We thank you for your cooperation."

Good Morning fellow ARG'ers

It seems the Infosale site has been updated yet again :

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Firewall site now contains a new message from Ellen who now seems to have been modified by infosale to collect/relay data.
Flashing numbers in the background seem to provide a dutch phone number (+31 34762332). I didnt call the number yet but I guess well either find a message from Amy or Infosale itself on this one

Marc put up another entry, might be the last one:

Quote:
August 13th 2010
Dear Bianca,
Today I had quite an emotional day. For the first time in years I visited my mother's grave on her death-day. And even more shocking was that my dad came along. I wanted to go to see it. So I just called my dad and asked if he wanted to come as well. I didn't think he would come but he did. He cancelled all his work for the day and there we were. Standing in front of the grave of Bianca Catharina DeLugi. My dad didn't say alot. He's never been a good speaker. I remembered a small nursery rhyme she used to recite for me, and so I did the same for her. I don't remember all that well, but it went something like this:
"Questo l'occhio bello
Questo suo fratello
Questa la chiesina
Questa la campanilina
din din din"
I really miss you alot mom, I wish you would still be here with us. When we were back in the car driving home, my dad told me how much he missed mom. He dropped me off and I went in to the apartment, but really I should've kept father company. Marc was sitting there waiting for me; I think he could tell I was upset. He gave me a big hug and he told me that he had made tea. As usual for the past few weeks, we didn't talk about his misstep.
Amy DeLugi

The Nursey Rhyme is in italian, ans is as follows

This beautiful eye
This brother
This church
This campanilina
din din din

I tried calling the number through a computer, I live in the states, bit it wouldn't work, just ring a couple times then nothing, not sure if thats it, or if its just the computer,(more than likely)

Also got another message from Samantha today, she trusts me a little more now, i;ve been yelling at Marc on FB LOL. She says she might let me talk to Amy soon.

EDIT: I've found a better translation of the rhyme and apparently a little children dance if you want to call it that:

Questo l'occhio bello
This One, The Beautiful Eye

Finger Play
(Italian)

Questo l'occhio bello
Questo suo fratello
Questa la chiesina
Questa la campanilina
din din din.

Actions

Point to one eye
Point to the other
Point to the mouth
Point to the nose
Hold nose and move from side to side.

Finger Play
(English)

This one, the beautiful eye,
This one, its brother,
This one, the little church,
This one, the tiny little bell,
Din, din, din.

Yup, the mobile tel nbr (06) 34762332 is a message service from InfoSale. Their operator speaks English and one female voice (Amy?) left a message there in Dutch and prolly Turkish (says a colleague) which I've translated here:

Quote:
InfoSale Operator: Welcome to InfoSale. Please hold.

Amy: Sorry I checked but they don't answer there.
I'll wear my heart on my sleeve so the ravens can pick at it. (Dutch expression)

??Am not taking care of checking things here?? (sorry, still unintelligible/ maybe Turkish)....

Infosale Operator: Thank you for calling. Please leave your message after the tone.

Will EDIT this if/when I grab more of her msg. Left my tel nbr. there for her. **crosses fingers**

EDIT:: Adding here to keep it simple. Believe (06) the mobile connex is necessary to make any Intn'l calls.
Also, the new SUBMIT form on the Firewall PAGE only appears for me in IE, not in Firefox. HTH

Thanks for calling them, I would have been pretty lost on the dutch part xD

Could you try to spell the word you didnt understand? Maybe we can guess what it is from the sound of the word as from the cointext it should be some place or city.

I may even try to call them myself, although I probably wont understand much.

@Minz: Sorry, the unintelligible bit (many words/not an address) really is impossible & way too long for phonetics.

Also. that it's Turkish is just a guess ' tho my colleague believes it's almost the same msg being repeated in that language. Phoning will be a costly adventure for you. Laughing

^^ I guess well see about the unintelligible, also I would not be calling from the US so it wouldnt be that costly but it would still be an international call Wink

I guess ill try to record the whole thing somehow so that we wont have to keep calling xD

Edit 3 :
* this phone number works for me : (0031) 634762332
* Amy/Ellen has added a few languages to her Facebook profile :
Dutch, Persian, Chinese and Português (isnt it weird that she didn't include English? xD)
This means we can be sure that the message we could not understand is in one of these languages (My guess would be chinese for the non-dutch part although I dont speak any of the mentionned languages)
Furthermore I dont have the possibility to record the phonecall so that we could show it to a person who speaks the language :/

Edit 2 : Just noticed that there now is a submit field below the Ellenmemorydump3.swf on the firewall page.
trying to put some stuff in right now Wink

Update: Marc has an email posted on Infosale's Homepage:
Quote:
From: Terror.marcSPLATgmail.com
To: Brands.losSPLATgmail.com
Subject:

Dude you know how ive been posting that bitch's diaries right?
Read this one! im not gonna post that online, she better not tell anyone else i did that...

Haven't found that diary entry which was sent directly by email in "assets" tho I noticed this in the mail's source code:
Code:
The attachment. It is lost. But I remember....
A peck on my forehead...
A wave-crashed beach...
Amber dust...
And Inception.

Interesting, so were getting a few new hints.

Although I just figured The password out while writing this post :

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I've done a little research on the things you translated from the phonecall.
The phrase you quoted as a dutch expression :
"I'll wear my heart on my sleeve so the ravens can pick at it"
seems to originate from Shakespeare's play Othello :

#####
Iago : Heaven is my judge, not I for love and duty,
But seeming so, for my peculiar end:
For when my outward action doth demonstrate
The native act and figure of my heart
In compliment extern, 'tis not long after
But I will wear my heart upon my sleeve
For daws to peck at: I am not what I am
#####

After being a bit sceptical at first, I became convinced that it fit the theme of this ARG quite nicely and tried inputting various keywords, notably Iago and Othello (Othello is the correct password)

After sending this in a link appears on the bottom of the page which directs us here : http://www.infosale.net/assets/twoface/

where we probalby have to reenact the actions of the poem from Amy's diary :

Since only 5 actions are possible well have to find the right combination xD

(Damn forum messing with my posts xD)

I'll edit further progress

Edit 1 : How to unlock the next step :
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

#####
Point to the left eye
Point to the right eye
Point to the mouth
Point to the nose
Point to the nose
Point to the nose
#####

Doing so reveals the following document (no quote-tags as they break the spoiler tags):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

http://www.infosale.net/assets/twoface/ReprogrammationDocument.doc

Reprogrammation Document
Subject: Ellen
Type: Sentient Protector Program

Initial directive:
The subject is a computer program created by former employee Amy DeLugi. It served as a protection buffer between the information she put online and the information that was downloaded by others.
Seemingly, Ellen has a level of semi self awareness. It speaks and replies to questions when the opportunity arises, which it rarely does. So far this has happened on only one occasion.
The subject's matter of existence is not entirely clear. It is not based on the site called Facebook, which is too tightly secured for it to roam free in. Initial contact with the program showed that it no longer works for only its intended purpose, but seems to have elaborated on that directive. It has apparently no problems reaching a user's information, but is also very adamant about integrity of that information.
Left without reign, this program might very well create issues for our information-gathering technologies. Plans to subvert it and rewire it to our own purposes have so far failed. The only success so far has been to capture the program and limit its freedom to a firewall.

Planned directive:
A patch is developed to have this "Ellen" plant bugs on users she has protected without her own knowledge. Aforementioned bugs will transmit user-information to our servers, where it can be processed into suitable data-packages. As of yet, the program is still in lockdown-mode while the patch is being prepared.

Workflow:
Dissective work has been stumped on several occasions by the complexity of this program. Whether by a stroke of geniality or luck, the former employee has created a self-developing program, increasing its level of defenses with each passing moment.
After many man-hours the program has been split up into different layers. There seem to be 5 layers in this program, and with each passing layer the applications it protects seem more important to its health. An external look as this gives us only a rough estimate and so far only 2 layers have been passed.
In order to plant our patch, the first four layers need to be opened up. A suspicion lingers that the final layer reveals the utmost essential applications to keep it alive.

I'm guessing that the Inception thing from the missing Email attachment refers to the program levels of Ellen as mentionned in that document.

Nice, Minz! The Submit function works only in Foxfire with page reduction. Following your "assets" & the rhyme's directions....

(Props also @siats phous for finding those) the Tag on the resulting page reads: What they did to me. So am happy Ellen is also informed & hope she can protect herself. And there's an Update in Marc's email source code (& the original cryptic msg)

Code:
The attachment. I found it but lost it between assets. But I remember the location...
MEMORY CORRUPTION OCCURED
CRYPTIC RETRIEVAL INITIATED

Code:
A peck on my forehead...
A wave-crashed beach...
Amber dust...
And Inception.
