I got the soundman email too, but promptly disregarded it. That's what I get for being out of the game for a while.

So is there any connection between us all, other than we're older members? What has every been involved with?

I did the whole Why So Serious, the Human pet, and Kuori Cho.

Not sure. I was not involved with any of those. I was active in a large number of smaller games back when I was active, could not even begin to list them all. I know tygr, oriza, nighthawk, lordillian, rad and Bruce pretty well from both games we have played and twitter and I think I remember your name from something or other, battlecat; but can't say that I know you at all.

Same here, Fish. Cloverfield....Iris......I think that about wraps it up. I was a major lurker for a while (through Year Zero) until Why So Serious brought me out of my proverbial shell.

I posted in the contacts section and I got the ptsmusic blog email. I'm useless at audio so someone else will have to try that bit.

Six, I don't get how this is connected to the other information we have at this time. How does this relate to this game?

Yes, sometimes I have trouble locating places even with a good map.

You know I have to agree with Steff. although the sound guy email is ARG I am not certain at all it is connected. I just made the assumption that six was correct. It could potentially be a trailhead for something else entirely. The only connection being that both emails were sent to long time posters who have been inactive lately. (Which may point to them being linked or may just be a coincidence)

Yep, yep, not all emails are connected to the same ARG. So looks like Six got hit with a second trailhead for another ARG.

It's all good!

I did not play Why So Serious, the Human pet, or Kuori Cho. Actually I have been rather inactive where ARGs are concerned for the past several years. I did follow Conspiracy for Good, but have not been an "active" player in about 3 years. Again - even though Ihave been around here since 2003, I did not receive the email. It could just be that PMs are mining the "Contact Thread" near the beginning trying to catch some of the players who have been around a while.

The more I think about it, the more I think you are exactly right, Steff.

Can't wait to get rolling on something again.

I could go either way on this. I was just mining the contact for us. All our names are pretty spread out in the thread. In seems like an unlikely coincidence. However I am not ruling it out. I suggest we keep the music info in this thread for now and gather some more info to see if it is indeed seperate or should remain here.

Just received this:
soundguy wrote:
Would be much appreciated, I've come up with a work around but it's not perfect. I've had to cut bits about and it's lost some of the "human" feel because I had to break the flow. Would love to be able to use the original recorded piece instead!

Hey Sound Guy,

I am a music fan and look forward to reading your blog. I have been looking into your problem with the drum recording and will let you know if I come up with anything.

I am more confussed than before as this response does NOT feel ARG to me.

Hopefully it's a good sign when the big mystery after the code is "why us?".

i have to say the mysterious connection has me intrigued...i mean really there isn't much else that is pulling me (all we have so far is the ts elliot poem and one blog)

but i think it at least shows the pm has some respect for the community...or at least interest, if not some history with some of the players

but i really hope there is more to the mystery

Heard from our friend again.

My email to him -
Quote:

TS Eliot - the Hollow Men. I understand the code, but what is it you're trying to communicate? And what do you want from me? I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Battlecat.

His Reply -
Quote:
You too, then? I've gotten a few emails about that...

I'm sorry to tell you that I don't really know much about the gibberish. Someone mentioned ROT 6, but all my poor brain kept thinking was that someone wants to make the number six rotten. They also mentioned a lot of people liking cryptology 'magically getting the same email.' I'll be asking them more about it, if you're curious. It makes me wonder about the person who mentioned it... six being rotten, people speaking in codes... as if the world wasn't insane enough.

I want to say that my email was hacked, but I don't think it was. If you get another email though, please let me know. I've changed my password and the like, but I have a vague suspicion that whomever has gotten it in their head that I'm their toy won't be swayed.

And my reply -

Quote:
As far as I know, the number 6 isn't rotten.

Do you have enemies? Is someone messing with you in other ways? Where are you located? Any of this information might help us figure out what is going on. We're here to help.

BC

Considered explaining ROT-6 meant rotating the letters, but didn't figure now was the time. Ideas?

Just tried a simple question, hoping to get some more info out of him:
Quote:

Just curious, where'd you get the idea for your email address (domine dirige nos)?

His reply:

Quote:
Domine dirige nos is the motto of the City of London. It means "Lord lead us." Some may say guide or direct instead of lead, though.

And truthfully, with all of these odd things going on, I'll take the help of anything willing to guide me. Well, so long as it's not into a trap, of course.

I've answered your question, so perhaps you can answer mine about why you were curious?

I'd say the part I bolded is an indication that the PM is already watching Wink
