if thats the case, i really hope they let us know that its the signup ahead of time...im planning on skipping school, and if the 8th isn't the day of the actual hunt, i cant really skip another day the following week Sad

you really think they'd put endgame just 2 days before release?

No idea, but since we will never truly "Find Flynn" until after the movie comes out (implying he leaves in the first movie and they don't stretch it out into a trilogy before he can leave) then it would make more sense.

If by endgame you mean premiere, then yes. I go to movie premieres quite often and most of the time they are 1 to 2 days before release.

the red carpet premiere is December 11th

by endgame i mean the scavenger hunt, which i assume to be the last portion of the ARG, after which the game will end

Not necessarily. If the final phase is the screening, that will be at night. No need to miss work. (Unless you work nights, of course.)

Has it been established or discussed yet as to whether or not this is going to be a "First one to get there gets the prize" type deal like Zerohour, or more of an event to be attended like the Encom Conference?

Sorry if this has been established already.

Great job everyone! Got the text at the beginning of my big block of classes, and just logged on to see everything solved! Way to go! ^^

Here's hoping against hope for something in the Quad Cities... and if not, I'll be there online on the 8th for digital support! Good luck to the people taking off work and school to try for the event! ^^

Kind of glad I am now working for now....more time to hunting....Wink I did a hunt from a series of YouTube videos about PS3's went they first came out. It was giving clues for dead drops in the LA area for PS3 games. It was soo much fun. It was suppose to be all for winning a PS3 but the guy ended the vid's early. Sad

Sigh... figures. I do not check FL today because of a WootOff and work, and of course there's a new puzzle. Tried to figure out how to solve the problem, then cheated and read back. But I have a blue die to show for what I tried.

Congrats to the smart folks who figured out the solution! And thanks! Smile

but then why would the countdown end at 8AM PST? why not at a time when everybody is off work and can access a computer?

the zerohour countdown ended at 8AM PST and the scavenger hunt was held throughout the duration of that same day, so i have a slight notion that this will be similar

I mean the screenings taking place the FOLLOWING week. Hence, no need to take off anything but next week.
