SAN DIEGO
Potential Operatives in San Diego

Just to keep this list up to date as the thread grows, potential San Diego ground operatives now include:

Quote:
Deadboy619 (+Girlfriend)
Crystal
emeraldbeacon
Cchinese Pirate
on3badmammajama
Beef2Taco
Vector53
Cldstrife
zumie
PostLarval (+Operative Phone)

Per past 42E events, we should see the full list of 16 cities when the countdown runs out. Their usual pattern is to have 3 or 4 cities go active at a time, hour by hour, east coast to west coast. Meaning: we Californians should have some time to watch what's happening elsewhere and plan accordingly. That said, if they decide to mix things up this time, I'll be ready to run at 8:00 a.m.

And if it turns out that San Diego isn't included, but there's time to make it to L.A., I'm racing for it Smile

edit: updated list

'89, not '82, according to the flyer.

Someone want to spearhead the support on the keyboards? Zach's post said

OK, OK - I can't divulge the full context, but I can give you this teaser: big impact, everyone's involved, troops on the ground, and they're supported by the online community. Hack time is in effect!

So, I'm guessing that we will need some support from the people who can't be on the ground. Anyone care to organize that and get contact to the ground people? Also, we should make sure the ground teams have contacts for people on line. I'll do what I can to hop on the IRC when possible and check in.

Some are thinking that since the original flyer (seen on the countdown page) was about Flynn's last book tour before he disappeared that the locations will be at a bookstore or library.

My girlfriend will be logged into both here and digitalpulse on that day while I'm up in Chicago with you guys.

She does have some experience with being an oricle since she did the same thing during the WSS Batsignal event.

If I'm able to stream live via ustream in Toronto, then anyone in that ustream chat room should be able to hear me/us; and the app also shows the chat content as well, so it is a live chat exchange (text in chat and voice on video).

I'll have it set up like operation tron's was ( http://4dfiction.com/live/operationtron ) which should make things easy to communicate

This is all, of course, presuming it'll be a hectic crazy collaborative hunt... and the video may not be good for people who get motion sickness Razz

LA operatives

My buddy and I are taking the day off from work and will be crusing around LA with our iPhones, checking the site and the feeds.

I'm down in Charlotte, NC along with velocity if anything comes up. Judging by the list of cities Norelco has for their advance IMAX 3D screenings (16 cities!) the closest thing will be DC, though.

Closest would be Atlanta which is only 3.5-4 hours away. Speaking of which, would you want to carpool down to Atlanta or up to Raleigh if Charlotte isn't on the list?

Tsuyoi here, chiming in for Atlanta. If the puzzle actually starts at 11am like expected, then I won't be able to help too much, but later in the afternoon (if it's not already over), I'll still be in Atlanta and willing to help.

FSURobbie and BassZero - PM me if you need any help. Maybe I might still be able to help in some way.

Yay, Atlanta folk! Ok ATL, here we go:

Hotlanta Hoperatives:
BassZero
FSURobbie
Takushi Rena
Tsuyoi

Anyone else out there?

FYI, I plan on being in Atlanta by 10:30 AM at the latest. ATL folks, we need to compile a list of possible bookstores, just in case everyone's assumptions are correct and that's what we will be targeting. I will be AFK all day tomorrow (going to Charlotte to watch the Noles beat up on Virgina Tech!) but I will check in as soon as I can.
