I like the idea someone had in the main "Final Countdown" thread, where they are setting up a twitter account to communicate through. Something like FlynnLives_ATL could work. The ground operative could set it up, and people manning the computer could reply to the twitter account to get any necessary messages out. Thoughts?

I like that idea. Easy to follow while out and about even for someone who doesn't have a very powerful cel phone.

Ok there is a possibility that I will not be able to be in atlanta during the event, whatever it may be, so why don't we plan on this, FSURobbie since you seem to have the most ground experience why don't you take charge of ground teams, while I (If I can't make it down there) and someone else take control from behind the computer feeding everyone information.
Sure. What do you guys want to do as far as communicating? Twitter sounds like a solid plan for most folks. I wont have access to it myself but I will have someone online backing me up so it should be fine regardless. Do we want to share phone numbers for texting/meeting?
If this does end up being a dead drop of some sort and one of us gets the drop it would be nice to meet up and see what's what.

I think numbers and texting might be easiest, and quickest I'm not a "tweeter" Either.
Meet up would be cool as well after.

Hey guys....let's keep one thing in mind...we still don't know exactly "what" this final part of the ARG is going to be. I mean, we're less than 24 hours for the countdown to zero and we still aren't for sure that Atlanta is one of the cities included (although, I believe it will be). And we don't have any idea what the challenge might be yet.
My thought is let's keep separated, for now...and monitor the forums here and Flynnlives.com/digitalpulse very closely.
If/when anything changes to give us a better idea of what it is exactly we need to do, then we can rally the troops.
Thoughts?

True, we don't know what's going to happen, but I think it's best we have a plan in place so we can hit the ground running. If nothing happens in ATL then we haven't lost out on anything but if it does we will regret spending precious minutes trying to triangulate when we could have already been ready to go.
If this does end up being a dead drop/scavenger hunt, then things will go fast and we wont have time to do anything but try and keep up. Bare in mind the Operation Zero Hour dead drop was picked up within 5 minutes of going live when this ARG first started.
If folks don't want to share their info that's fine, but those that do want to stay in touch and possibly try and meet up afterwards would do better to plan that out now rather than waiting until the heat of the hunt to do so.
Just my two cents...I'm going after it hardcore with or without you guys and gals!

Ok, well then can someone volunteer to gather a list of name and phone numbers so that we can keep in touch throughout this event?

Everyone that wants to stay in touch PM me your number. I will make a list and then PM it to everyone that expressed interest. Sound good?

Might be a good idea to do a phone text/call out test prior to go time, intro and confirm numbers betweeen.

Good, idea, once the list is finalized I will do that. I will wait until midnight for folks who want to send their info then I will compile the list and PM it to everyone in the AM along with a test run text...
EDIT: Nevermind, everyone has sent me their info (Except WEDWay, PM me if you want in!) so I will do the list and send it and the test text in the next few minutes.

Test text has been sent, if you didn't get it PM me so I can check your number.
It's almost game time people!
NOTE: If you have any swag you want to trade, bring it with you. If we all can meet up post-game you might be able to do some in-person trading and save yourself some postage. Just a thought!

Doesn't look like I'll be able to join in on the hunt. Work and all. I may be able to run out if the location turns out to be somewhere on the north side since it will be close to lunch. I'll keep an eye on the websites from the office. Good luck, guys!

The eye in the sky is up and running, however the program has a virus so it might crash. And if you can't tell I'm talking about myself lol. I'm sick so I can't make it to ATL but I'll try my best to keep Robbie updated.
