 		i dont think that jay has really been missing for 7 months. i think that has encounters with slendy and masky have had a detrimental effect on his mental state and is now now suffering from lapses of amnesia. he knows this will happen occasionally and thats why he strapped the camera to himself.

 		The KEY is a standard lock key. It can go to a door, a lock, or something else. It cannot go to a locker or car though.

I feel it is more likely that the key is tied to an object rather than a place. Simply for the fact it seems like Jay has been moving around a lot over the last several months. It is possible that he has something in the safe that the key is used to open.

If evidence is presented to show that Jay has been in the area for an extended amount of time, then I would be more willing to believe it is tied to a locale.

Or it could be a red herring.

Either way, until we have more information, there is little point in speculation about the key. It is better to keep focused on the safe, Jessica, and the odd events in Entries 27 and 28.

I suspect that Jay was probably smart enough to try the key on the safe if it was possible. Although, I suppose it could be that despite the real specs of the safe, we will have to figure out the 4 digit code just for game purposes.

The fact that he looks at this footage and says "I have absolutely no recollection of this specific event" means it has been totally wiped clean.

After all, isn't that the crux of the series? That these people are filming everything that happens to them BECAUSE they're worried they'll forget all about it afterwards?

So, if Jessica has the ability to recall - even slightly - the events that have been intentionally wiped from their memories, then she is a wild card.

In my opinion? It's more likely that she heard Jay's surname in a news report. But I don't discount the awesome possibility that it's something more.


what if something is decreasing slendy's power? Jessica's mind WAS wiped but perhaps something is affecting whatever it was that mindwiped her and she's starting to get her memory back?

She and Jay met during the 7 months and did things together, and whatever it was that caused them to forget it, either it didn't work as well on her for some reason (which remains to be speculated) or it backfired, or she's just got a really strong mind.

I find this idea quite fascinating, actually. It's a hell of a lot more interesting than the idea of her hearing about him on the news, and to be honest, after reading this, I'd be a tad disappointed if the creators took the news route. Her character seems to be a bit too significant to just handwave it as, "Oh yeah, I heard about you on the news. You did bad things. Buh-bye now."

So if he hasn't actually been missing for seven months, then all his viewers have been affected as well, because we seem to have experienced the seven months between Entry #26 and Entry #27.

That makes my head hurt.

I thought perhaps she could've been shown him in the TTA videos, sort of like she was sat down and forced to watch the videos then hypnotized to seek him out. Maybe she is the next Masked Figure since Tim has pretty much disappeared. It would also stand for the way she asks about him "Have I seen you in something?" The only way you see someone in something is in a video or on TV. He may have been featured in local news reports. He was missing for 7 months. Who knows what he was doing during that time. Perhaps he wasn't as stealthy as he should've been and was seen by eye witnesses.
