I will be coming in with 2 friends not on these boards via caltrain to the
700 4th St., San Francisco 94107 station.

Puts us just under a mile form the starbucks near the metreon, which is where we we gonna head to, plan to get there as close to 730 as possible.

the Starbucks at: 7 3rd St, San Francisco, CA 94103 is about a mile and a half from the train station.

I have a droid eris, and will be borrowing my wife's notebook computer, to use at wi-fi spots for flash stuff.

OT: How do you like your mini? I'm in the market for a good used Mini S automatic because my Volve S60R is so huge lol.

I LOVE it! Mine's not an S, but it's still sooooo much fun to drive! Kind of a bummer that it doesn't fit too many people comfortably, but I don't usually drive too many others around anyways haha. But I do highly recommend Minis

And yes, I'll be at Starbucks by 7:30.

This is so awesome! I think I'll come too. I'm down in Scotts Valley but I can zip up there for the morning.

(Been lurking the forums for awhile, finally registered and this is my first post!)

Now we just have to hope 42E isn't reading this and sees that we've already zeroed in on their planned spot.

"We'll show them, lets use a bookstore in the Sunset!"

Since we'll have at least two teams on the ground and hopefully someone online helping us out, I went ahead and made a quick Twitter account for us like some of the other cities are doing.

http://www.twitter.com/FlynnLives_SF

I think this is a good way to send out updates quickly to everyone without us having to know everyone's phone numbers and sending multiple messages. You can set up Twitter to automatically notify you with a text when a new post is made by following an account, go to that Twitter page and there's a little green phone button under the profile pic that will enable instant updates. You'll have to have your phone set up under your own Twitter account of course. I just tested it, it's pretty fast. I got the text no more than 10 seconds after I posted to the account.

I'll PM the password to someone on the Starbucks team as well as whoever is taking the lead as our "keyboard operative" so they can post on there as well.

Who wants to take those two lead positions? legacytrongirl, you started this thread, do you want the pw for your team? And I just re-read this thread, we don't have anyone at home/office lined up to monitor the boards and whatnot, do we?

3rd & Market Team,

I work at the Copy Central across the street from Starbucks @ 3rd. If we need computers, or perhaps a place to sit, I can open the store for us to keep warm/dry if Starbucks is too crowded. Plus we've got about 10 PCs we can use if we need to watch the countdown (no WiFi though Sad )

Post or PM me if needed, otherwise see you tomorrow morning!

Yay TRON!

Thanks for making the twitter! I've never used twitter before but if no one wants the lead position, I guess I could take it? I'll figure out how to work twitter somehow and I can ask others to help! I'm not sure if we have anyone at home/office right now, mostly on the streets. Is anyone planning on staying near a monitor?

All that's needed is someone with a smartphone. They just have to download a twitter app and set it up with the login/password for our account tomorrow. Using it is as simple as a text message. You just open the twitter app, hit new tweet, type away and hit send! (keeping it under 140 characters of course)

I put a post in the Online Support Team asking for someone to man a computer for us but no replies yet. I'll stop by again in a few hours and see if anyone volunteered for that or your team's tweeting.

I'm thinking of having "an emergency" at home tomorrow....

I would be coming from the East Bay, 510 yo. I will be driving into the city and parking at the 5th and Mission Garage. My car can carry four comfortably, and since it's a four cylinder and it's SF, that would max it out.

I have a DROIDX, and a Apple MacBook with wireless ready to rock.

To play hooky, or not to play hooky?

I've never been to an Event.

Edit: TweetDeck already installed on DROID and reports to me INSTANTLY when someone I follow tweets.

I'm leaning towards calling in sick that day to partake in this event. The thing is, I absolutely hate driving in the city. If my gf and I BART into the city, is there any chance we can link up with some of you fine folks? I'd be willing to split any parking bills, and can give some gas money. There's also a few elecTRONica tokens in it for you as well!

I'll also point out, that despite living in the Bay Area my entire life, I don't know my way around the city.

I would be able to drive you two around the city if we need to drive anywhere, and 3rd and market starbucks sounds good but i'm still thinking that city lights makes the most sense

That sounds awesome, i'm definitely leaning on getting on within the next 6 months

I'll be there around 7:00-7:30 for the meet up, i'll be wearing jeans and a black pea-coat. Names Patrick, i'm 21. My girlfriend is bailing on me to go to a doctors appointment so i'll have 4 spots in my car if they're needed!
