I'm leaning towards calling in sick that day to partake in this event. The thing is, I absolutely hate driving in the city. If my gf and I BART into the city, is there any chance we can link up with some of you fine folks? I'd be willing to split any parking bills, and can give some gas money. There's also a few elecTRONica tokens in it for you as well!

I'll also point out, that despite living in the Bay Area my entire life, I don't know my way around the city.

I would be able to drive you two around the city if we need to drive anywhere, and 3rd and market starbucks sounds good but i'm still thinking that city lights makes the most sense

OT: How do you like your mini? I'm in the market for a good used Mini S automatic because my Volve S60R is so huge lol.

I LOVE it! Mine's not an S, but it's still sooooo much fun to drive! Kind of a bummer that it doesn't fit too many people comfortably, but I don't usually drive too many others around anyways haha. But I do highly recommend Minis

And yes, I'll be at Starbucks by 7:30.

That sounds awesome, i'm definitely leaning on getting on within the next 6 months

I'll be there around 7:00-7:30 for the meet up, i'll be wearing jeans and a black pea-coat. Names Patrick, i'm 21. My girlfriend is bailing on me to go to a doctors appointment so i'll have 4 spots in my car if they're needed!

Nice to meet you Patrick! My gf and I should be out there around 7:30-7:45. Just so I'm clear, is this the Starbucks near the Metreon that we are meeting at? I'll be wearing my ElecTRONica sweater, and Flynn Lives shirt.

I'm going to be trying to park near city lights in Northbeach i think as it seems like the best place if they're going for a "80s authentic book tour" vibe, but others are meeting there as well yea and we'll all obviously come together when it says where to go

We are meeting at the starbucks in 3rd and Market. Here is the adress:

7 3rd St, San Francisco, CA 94103.

To look at it, you can googlemap it and then do a street view on it and you will see the starbucks right there. I'll probably be there around 7.20-7.30ish. I'll be wearing my flynn live shirts and my threadless tron jacket as well as my encom badge.

See you guys there!

Longtime lurker, first time poster, forever Tron fan!

I've loved some of the work you guys do because I would be no where if it was just me an my own brain solving these puzzles.

My name is Ken and I work in Palo Alto, but won't be coming into work until 1:00 pm, which hopefully is enough time to figure out where Kevin Flynn's been all this time.

I will try to get to the city from my home in San Jose to be on time. Is twitter going to be the best way to find other FL people if I don't make it to the Starbucks at 8?

I be there! I missed the last hunt in SF and the one at SDCC this year! I refuse to miss the last one!
I'll be there around 7:30 or so and I'll be in a Tron shirt and a blue frilly skirt.
I have work at noon. Do guys you think the event will happen by then? and if it is later, how later do you guys think it will be? Maybe I can get off work early.

Just over 8 hours to go! I'm gonna attempt sleep tonight haha, but I'll be at Starbucks by 7:30 in my Tron: Legacy sweatshirt and Tron shirt, with my MacBook Pro at the ready! See you guys tomorrow!!!

Oh and I know we already have a team Twitter account, but if anyone wants to follow me to keep in contact or whatever, I'm @blaidddrwg42 on there. Very Happy

It does not work on iphones, lolnoflash.

Damn you steve jobs.

And is anyone else going to be at city lights or am i gonna be goin it alone? If so i'll tweet @ the SF twitter that was set up from my twitter pwsteele if theres anything going on around there before/at 8.

Same thing for those at metreon?

Nope, like I said, I'll be at City Lights.

We still don't have anyone that's going to be at a proper computer to help us monitor the web and these boards. Any ideas?

I'll be with Grifta and the rest of the Bravo Team at City Lights. I've conscripted my Old Man to be at the helm of a computer and in close contact with me at all times by phone, so we've got a hardline available to us in that respect.

Regarding where to meet up, I wouldn't recommend gathering across Broadway under the hanging books only because we'd be at the mercy of the cross signals. In a pinch that might be a big deal.

City lights has a pretty classy alley way next to it (Jack Kerouac St, natch), its off the beaten path, inconspicuous and right next door. That's where I recommend we meet.

I'll most likely be in a brown jacket (or my peacoat), but in either case, I'll have an ARCADE AID pin on so's you know it's me.

Looking forward to commiserating with you lot!

Also I should mention, for whatever reason, if it comes to it we can use my house as a Basecamp since it is literally just down the street from City Lights.

I don't know that we will need to, but I have wifi and plenty of room to host, so I'm just tossing that out there.

SF Geo loc hint

37.787, -122.408

These coordinates will put you on the south side of Union square.

When SF goes live, expect coordinates to be close to this.
NYC location is not a notable bookstore location or anywhere "significant" to the ARG so far.
