I can't believe I forgot Second Story books!

I've never been to Politics and Prose but have heard of it. I'm anti-political (to compensate for growing up with an over political family. I ran as far away as I could). Kramerbooks was as close to a political book store for me.

There used to be an SF/Mystery bookstore called Moonstone I think that was around back then. They had book signings every month or so but moved since I went there and the last time I visited they were in the basement of a row house "business". I couldn't find them today when searching.

I'm not sure why but I seem to favor Flynn's book tour have visited a bookstore around in 89 and one that did author book readings/signings. But I would never count out Borders or B&N. Borders was not at 18th and L in the 80's.

I am actually in DC when the book tour will hit. If it is after 5pm and somewhere in the 20001 area code, I can probably partake. Keep this thread updated. Smile

I posted in the FB group. We need to decide on a meeting place and be there 30 minutes to an hour before the countdown ends.

EDIT: The twitter idea is good, but it needs to be made private. Remember we don't want lurkers getting to the drop before we do. I would recommend just deleting that account, or not update it and then follow each other in a list for this group.

Ready!

FYI, I'm onsite at BAM in Dupont Circle, cafe with my hotspot.

Peppermint hot chocolate is not bad when it's 30 degrees F out.
