 		Final Countdown - Team of Dallastenians aka Team Dallas, TX
Where to meet and where.
So I know there are only 3 or 4 people on this forum from Texas.

My final thesis will be from 1-2pm central time and I think (hopefully) that as long as it is after that time that we should all meet at a central location in dallas and go from there.

I technically live in Arlington, but I think if we start in Dallas we can easily go from anywhere there.

Master Luke are you in?

tagruato are you in?

Let's tear up Dallas if this whole thing kicks off out there.

I am hoping they choose dallas, but more than that I hope it starts after 2:00.

I would say a good spot in the heart of dallas, maybe a coffee shop where I can bring my laptop and keep an open eye.

Let's hope for a certain amount of details before that day though.

I hope so too! I hope its like we think and the 16 cities are the same 16 cities from the Norelco promotion. It would be nice if it were later in the afternoon, I don't mind going at it early in the morning but Id rather not have to haha.

I know Texas isn't everybody's favorite state, but Dallas is still one of the biggest cities in the US, everyone thinks Austin is the coolest city if you haven't been here, but DFW is a pretty important place.

The company that did the lightcycles was based in Dallas, there were only three companies in the US in 1982 that did Computer Animation and one of them was based in Dallas - NOT AUSTIN, hopefully that counts for something.

It may have been the solar sailer, but I think it was the lightcycles. I think the other two were in Canada and New York, someone can correct me on that.

I just realized that my final review is 3-4 pacific time and in Texas that is not from 1-2 that is actually 5-6.

So hopefully if we have it in Dallas and it is in the morning, then I CAN PARTICIPATE!!!

I would imagine that they would want us to complete this before traffic starts.

So if it's in the morning, then I AM SO F(cking in!!!

 		we are meeting.
So the clock will run out at about wed. at 10:00am central time, 8am pacific and 11:00 eastern right?

Me and tagruato are talking about meeting at 9:00 or so in downtown Dallas around that time at a starbucks or something. I will bring my laptop and we can get free wifi and keep up with the countdown. Tagruato has an iphone and we can keep up with the forum.

Whomever wants to meet up with us, the more the merrier.

And if we find out it is not in Dallas then we will be good. but if it is in dallas then it will be better to have a central location to start from.

I personally and thinking someplace like 75 and lovers lane.

Masterluke I sent you a pm, contact me tomorrow or tues if you can.

My final review online will be at 5pm so I need to leave dallas around 3pm our time so I can beat traffic.

TEAM DALLAS!

ifmnetzwerk if you want to come to dallas and need a place to crash you can crash at my place if need be, but I think we would both feel like @$$holes if the event is in houston.

let alone austin, which I hope it is not. AUSTIN SUCKS!!!

anyway lets all find a good starbucks to meet so we can have a good location to go from. plus they have free wifi.

That being said, I am not holding out hope for much. We had a pretty lack luster response for TronNight, so I don't expect to be included on this. We will see.

That will work great. I am not even sure that they are doing anything in Dallas. But if they do ya'll we are talking about meeting at a starbucks

Master Luke mentioned a bookstore, what obscure bookstores or regular bookstores could there be in dallas.
