Sorry, I promise the thread isn't about that stupid meme!

I was just wondering, having been a PM myself and participated in a number of games I know that more often than not if you are missing something the PM will point you in the right direction. This is often because they have a whole story set out ahead and if you don't get past this bit you'll never see it.

So, have you come across any games where you've simply lost? Where the PM has had to come out and say: "alright you didn't act fast enough and now the characters are dead. gg"?
