Awesome job Team Toronto!
I was glad to hear that we had a solid teamwork win for uF early in the game. Nice to see gracious players win.

Wow. That one finished up in a hurry. I've got my pictures from the drop uploaded, but may have to resize them to make the reading a little easier. Having some trouble uploading video and may need to throw it up on youtube or something, but it is still coming.

Anyways, here's a shot of the package contents:

Can I just ask, cos I don't remember seeing it explained anywhere - but the lightcycle trail/code book things you guys got in the drops, were they your FL codes to get the badge? It's not a loose end?

Either way, congrats to all of you, good work!

Absolutely, the bruce.

I'll get you the raw footage one way or another, even if I have to burn it and hand it off at a screening.

The badge for the drop was given by username on the phone, iirc. We didn't enter any code to activate the badge, that I know of at least.

The End of Line badge was given by the last HelloFlynn code from the pager.
Any other codes were pretty much just for confirmation. (the code on the sticker was the same as package code, the one you get from decoding the barcode on the Dumont package)

The code from the book puzzle was just the code entered on the agent laptop to activate the node (though that may perhaps have been the badge code if the username was already provided, not sure)

Thinking about it now, I really should have also taken a picture of the laptop with the code entry page. D'oh!

Ok, so looks like I should be able to make it to both free showings Smile
I have a couple friends who want to come tomorrow - but I've taken enough time off work that I'm only going to try to eek out a little before 4, earliest, which means we likely won't get there by 5.

I'm willing to bet that once the line begins there won't be saving of spots, but if it is possible, who WILL be there, and can we meet up at the line? Wink

Wednesday - I can make it, so I'll get in touch with someone who's offered me their +1 (stupid norelco site, still can't even log in!). With the pre-event starting at 6, I'll try to be at the theatre ~5:30ish.

I also have a midnight ticket purchased for opening night, so whatever the case, I will see Tron this week Smile

So who here from Toronto will all be at any of these events?

I'll be trying to get into the Monday screening, and I've got my tickets for the Wednesday screening so I'm all set. I won't be hard to find: Threadless Tron hoodie, FL shirt and possibly a Tron helmet if I'm feeling particularly adventurous.

Hope to see a few familiar faces there!

And how will that set you apart from half the other people there? Laughing

That might work Smile

Coming up from Buffalo for Monday screening. I'll be wearing a threadless Tron hoodie and FL t-shirt as well. I will also have a Joshua Davis white backpack and will be there with the guy with out any tron attire.

Edit: Sorry to have to invade the Toronto event but NYC is not close enough to drive in one day and get to work the next morning.

Well I managed to make it to the theater with a couple friends despite the weather and traffic... though it was tight. Until we got there to find that Traffic Jammer and battlecat were slightly exaggerating the attendance just to make me anxious Razz
I'd say the theater was about 2/3 full tops by the time the film began, all in the main middle section (not the front or sides).

Phones/cameras were confiscated, and yep pins were handed out. I decided to check back after the show to see if there were any extras, but as a trade off for waiting until the very end of the credits, I got back out too late to find the rep with the pins. Sad *sadface*

Nevertheless, the experience was great, and my only real issue, a small one at that, was the 3D wasn't all that important to the film or much of an enhancement generally speaking. Otherwise, any slight shortcoming in the film was outdone by the awesomeness of everything else.

I definitely look forward to seeing this in IMAX hopefully Wednesday evening at the Norelco screening downtown Smile

Made the trek up to Toronto from Buffalo. no delays other than making a turn on to Eglington from the 401 instead of staying on the 401 until Younge. Rookie mistake.

loved the movie and meeting thebruce, Traffic Jammer and battlecat. You guys are great.

My friend and I thank everyone we met in Toronto. You are all very hospitable and it was a pleasure to travel and meet all of you. It would have been worth the trip even if we did not see the movie. Which we did. Very Happy

Thanks for a great time.
