I think it would almost definitely need to be a Pyrrhic victory - A hero or an innocent needs to go down as well to "ensure" that whatever happens works. Maybe not literally a human sacrificing themselves to stop him, but I think the only way you could really do justice to winning against something so abnormally powerful is to make it bittersweet - something needs to be lost or corrupted.

That being said, I think that the media used is also important, text alone may not be able to handle such an epic event. I think it almost has to go to either video or some sort of more tangible media, possibly a radio broadcast (may be a dying form of communication, but how badass could it be to have some shortwave radio signal coming from an apocalyptic bunker?), or something completely different from what we've seen so far (piggybacking off of a real event, like a concert or movie premiere (with appropriate permissions/sponsoring of course) could also be a pretty cool idea (as well as provide several different digital records of whatever transpires)

I guess it would also have to be sufficiently complicated, I mean for how much terror he has generated in all of our hearts, if all its going to take is a silver bullet, or some other physical object that can be made or found without too extreme measures, it wouldn't do it justice. Either tread the line between genius and insanity, gambling on making everything much worse forever, or get some brilliant Ocean's Eleven style Xanatos Gambit set in motion.

Those are just some ideas that I'm thinking about - some have been tried, others are kind of untapped and I'd like to see someone make use of them - mainly the media ideas.

At this moment, I believe there's only blog, with only one character, badass enough to defeat Slender Man.
You all know who I'm talking about.

Aaron from A New Blog That's Not Mine.

That should be the endgame. Slenderman shows himself, branches floodling all around him, sunglasses balanced coolly over his lack of eyes. Aaron bursts in, shouting catchphrases, armed with an axe forged from iron but mostly from the power of sheer awesome. And then they have a climatic battle for the right to date Ramona Flowers.

Hahahahahaha.

I actually wouldn't mind that idea. We have all these iconic characters in the mythos now (Jay, Logan, Evan), I would just love to see Slender Man killed or at least defeated temporarily by some completely random relatively unknown character.

If Aaron doesn't win in his story, I'd be surprised.

Personally I want all the worst bloggers to dress as power rangers, form the Megazord and fight a giant Slenderman.

You forgot the part at the end, after Aaron's defeated Slender Man, when he picks up Slendy's glasses, says "Looks like that tree..... Just got axed." And then puts the glasses on.

YEEEEEAAAAAAAH!

If this happens, then we'll all just have to pack up the internet and go home, because nothing in any blog will ever top it.

Well, it's pretty clear that it's hard to beat the Slender Man. Ryan from Finding The Darkness tried and ended up in a coma. I think the EMH guys might be strong enough together, but they have The Rake to deal with too.

It'd be interesting to see a really cleverly and stylistically set-up fight with the Slender Man, though.

QFT. In order to stop, or at least push back, something like this, something needs to be lost, I think. Life, sanity, identity... and the "victory" would need to be the culmination of a pretty epic build-up. I've always been rather partial to the idea that Slenderman is real because you believe in him, or because you're afraid of him-- I'm not sure how that would translate to an appropriately epic conclusion, but I think it could be done, and ideally done in a way that doesn't mean "and then the blog stopped abruptly and you never got resolution." A lot of series end like that, and when done well, it's good, but it's also just a touch disappointing. Long-runners like MH or EMH really can't do that, because you get so invested in the characters that you have to know how it ends. It can't just stop. I'd like to see a Slenderseries that ends on a bittersweet note with the Big Bad repelled or sealed in a can or something, but there is a conclusion to the whole thing.

They've also got HABIT, which if current fan theory is correct, is going to drive them apart. EMH is fueled on 100% pure unleaded Power of Friendship, and it's going to be interesting to see what happens when that friendship starts to fracture because one person just happens to be sharing headspace with a homicidal maniac.

Due to a conversation in another forum, I now want to see someone attempt a flying kick at Slenders, but that is not very likely to happen. Alas.

Or maybe in an ultimate showdown final episode of some slender series, all the good guys battle Slenderman, at the same time another monster is battling him. The two monsters can off each other, and one guy can die (or two). Then maybe you see Slendy in the window goin' "Still Alive", Portal style.

Or if Habit takes over Evan, it can be Habit vs Evan (who is trying to fight against Habit's control), Jeff, Vince, Alex and Damsel vs. The Rake vs. Slenderman.

The ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny song shall play during that finale. I realize everything I said is extremely unlikely, but it was just a random thought I had.

This may be my own twisted nature talking but personally I don't want anyone to beat him because if he can be harmed if he can be killed why would anybody be afraid of him there would be no point in anybody else making anymore blogs and that would seriously suck.

He'd only be beaten in one universe, in one version of things. If someone makes a new series, they can either just ignore it completely, or say "okay, yeah, those guys just made a funny youtube series, my shit is for real," and if they do a good enough job, Slenderman will still be scary, regardless of what other series have done.

I am very much liking these ideas. More variety in endings would be nice.

And, I mentioned it before, I've got a story planned that I think will be pretty different as far as Slenderman stories go, and this kind of stuff is really helpful to read. c:

I dunno about beating him, but definitely not gonna end on a AND THEN THEY WENT CRAZY AND THE STORY STOPPED ABRUPTLY note.
