I really have enjoyed the hell out of this. It has made me want to participate in others. I am a little sore about people that did not participate in the ARG being able to see it too, but I understand. Not all the cities have the participation that others have. So to limit it to the maybe 20 of us in Utah is not cost effective.

Besides the people who did not participate got cheated out of all the fun we have had. I still remember all the fun from solving the puzzles and especially tonight with the cell phones. That was a ton of fun. I think my favorite puzzle was the locker puzzle for the footage.

The only real downside I see is that some dick on facebook posted the information about the free screening. I personally think that the information should have been sent in the mail and if you did not have a pass you do not get in.

Wow, thanks for that! I would be that 'dick'. (EDIT: I guess I'm one of the 'dicks' after reading confetti's post)

I think since there were people working hard over there too, and sharing information, and Flynn Lives specifically requested working together on it, that sharing the information when so many were having trouble with the code (O vs L, etc) would not only make sense, but be the right thing to do... but yeah, thanks for the name calling. Way to completely ruin the fact that I thought everyone on uF was incredible!

Do you really think Flynn Lives wouldn't share the link with everyone, regardless?

I don't know if this will make the UK members feel better or worse, but since you couldn't use the endgame because of the phone numbers, I thought I'd describe what happened. Sorry if this was already done by someone; the forums are continually saying "Server Error" to me so I'm having a hard time staying on top of the thread.

After I clicked on the colors, it brought me to a page that said disable popups, and then I input my phone number. It told me to wait for a call, and when I got it to input a four-digit agent code. There was some text from Zack explaining we were going to try to overload the server with the pulse, but we had to find the proper 3 digit code to log in.

So you get the phone call (which is why using a US number that isn't your phone wouldn't have worked, because it actually called the phone) a computer voice told you to input the agent code. After that you were directed to input 3 numbers using your key pad. After you entered them you were told whether or not you were correct, and how many numbers you entered were correct, and how many placements were correct.

I just entered 111 and 222 til I found the correct three numbers, then tried each placement till I found something that worked.

The code sent, Zack says that they're sending the pulse, and that it "seems to have worked" but someone is trying to "ping us back!" Then the meltdown screen comes up, with all the static-y pictures of lightcycles and programs, and, finally, Clu taking off his helmet and smiling at you through the window.

After that the window with the pager pops up; you guys know about calling the pager and getting the code.

The puzzle was interesting, but the prize was a let down, and I'm really sorry they left you guys out in the cold. That makes me saddest.

Did you decipher the morse code on the pager?

I didn't decipher it myself, I started but someone had already done it. That was the Electrify page.

Thank you one and all for a fun ride!
It's a little disturbing that I think Clu intercepted our pulse to Kevin, but am excited to see what happens because of our attempt to get in touch with him...

I look forward to getting my chance to dip back into the Grid, will cherish the swag that I've gotten from the game and from the Swag Swap here on the forum, and look forward to the next big game!

See you around programs!

that was me Smile you're welcome. its already blogged like 100 times. one more FB post isn't going to make a difference. i don't really remember seeing you on the UF forum at all. maybe you were a lurker or whatever it doesn't matter. everybody is entitled to their opinion. it would have been nice if it was made to be an exclusive event. but they are trying to HYPE UP the movie. so at this point, as disappointing as it is, you've just got to roll with the punches. even if they are coming at you with a bag over your head.

see you guys at the next big arg! its been great

I'm sour for reasons of my own. Poor connection keeping me from helping out today. Havingto run errends so unable to help solve the pulse puzzle. Finding out that NONE of the early screening locations are near enough where i live to hitch a livt....

It's bee na good ARG. I'm just.... irked right now at how I feel like my hands are tied s'all.

I would love the ENCOM badges to be more of use than just being a clue. They are too cool to just... sit there.

I would love not having this huge break during summer, to the point I almost thought it was over.

I would love the Endgame to finish with a louder Bang ! than just ' hey, go see the movie there and... oh, wait, you do not live in a major US city ? Well, forget it '.

BUT

It has been a great year. I loved the backstory behind the ARG, why the glitches, the weird transmissions; I loved being a part of it.

THANK YOU 42E for all these entertaining events; THANK YOU Uf members because, without you guys, I'd would still being at wondering what is the #11 game's name in the first Arcade Aid, and I would have not enjoy this ARG as much as I did.

Too bad it's over... See you all on another ARG, and have a great time watching the TRON seqel !

Maybe, maaaaybe, 42E will read this and think it's a fantastic idea...

What if although it's first-come, first-served, they let anyone with the Encom badges in first?

My only point of reference is that at the Encom press conference here in SF, if you had a badge you could go in the "VIP area" directly in front of the stage.

I'm sure they won't since I can't imagine 42E has any involvement in these actual screenings, just some wishful thinking.

I posted it at first but then everyone was angry about it being first come, first serve so I deleted my comment about 5 minutes later so I wouldn't get comments like this.

You know the Flynn Lives page is probably going to post it anyway. And so are some blogs. And people on Twitter.

It's not going to be able to stay secret, I guess is what I'm saying. People get excited about free stuff

Brave chap to admit that you blasted about the free show on FB. Of course it is going to leak out, but I would hope that it wouldn't be an UnFictioner

Sad to see this end but this has definitely been a blast. It has been a great ride and I hope that we can get to ride it again sometime when the next Tron comes out. Thanks to everyone who helped me through this ARG and for all the hunters out there who had to do all the walking while we sat here patiently at our PC's. END OF LINE......
