Speaking as one member of the New York team...today was utterly exhausting. To some of he people I met today, it was a real pleasure. To others, not so much. I think my favorite part of the day was the evening where we all sat around the tables and worked out a final puzzle, together. Because working together, as a community is what ARGs are all about.

And as for the whole douche/non-douche thing which was debated here all day, if you weren't there to see it, it is difficult to really say one way or the other. Those of us who were involved have our opinion. But I can see how others might have their own. But we all thought that the pinata analogy was pretty apt.

I've had a lot of fun and made a ton of friends, and I am sad to see this end. I am tempted to go on Monday, just to hang with you folks one more time, though the people here I spoke with seem to not want to go. Well, we'll see. Maybe we'll get some swag, maybe not. But we can know what we did to help bring this about.

Final thanks to 42 Entertainment. You guys are pretty awesome, and I only wish that you had had the budget to do what I know that you really wanted to do. On reflection, it feels like you wanted to do so much more, but were constrained by Disney, so you focused on doing fewer events of very high quality. Thank you. Oh, and thank you for sending my wife a set of pins separate from myself- she started playing and really appreciated that you folks didn't simply assume that we were the same person.

I want a t-shirt made that says

"I played along with Flynn Lives and all I got was...

3 lousy t-shirts, some lousy pins, several lousy posters and one lousy art print. Lots of lousy tokens in a little lousy purse, a lousy employee badge and a extremely lousy mini identity disc. (Plus one pair of soiled pants from the parachute stunt in San Francisco)."

In other words, thanks 42 Entertainment and Disney for an awesome time these past two years.

It's definitely been a thrill everyone, from the first game I played (ILoveBees), to being a small part of another (moderator on the board for StopSectorSeven), the Flynn Lives fun we've had over the last few months, to whatever comes next...

To everyone out there in Cyberspace, thanks for the help, thanks for the camaraderie, I hope you had fun like I had, and I look forward to my look back inside the Grid!

For now, goodbye fellow programs!

I want to thank everyone here for all their efforts with this, without everyone working together, this would of been very difficult.

NY

I agree with Broklynite. I had a great time sharing a pizza and solving the puzzle together. I hope to hang out with that gang again sometime in the future because they were a fun group.

As for the douche thing, I was on the phone as it happened and was really disheartened by the attitude the guy had. What's done is done and he is the one who has to live with being a dbag while the rest of us worked as a team and had a great time doing it.

Thanks to 42E for the great experience I've had this past year!

I know the reality check says what was done gives Disney the biggest bang for the buck.

But, personally, I have to say that the way it ended gives me nothing to want to share with others. If I tried to explain it to them, it'd be all blank stares and wondering what the big deal was.

Now, having a free movie pass to post on my office wall... That's something I'd have felt like sharing about with any of the hundreds of people who happen to be walking by in a day. Like the Arcade Aid Poster has been.

This has been amazing

As you can see I have been on unfiction for a LONG time. But, the number of posts was pretty low. Mostly becasue I was only on the forums for the original XBOX360 Colony ARG. It was cool but I was young and arrogant.
My posts were never on target and more distracting than helpfull.....

But, times change and people get older and more mature....

I have been a HUGE Tron fan since it came out in the 80's. When I stumbled upon Flynn Lives and found the forum via Google... I was hooked.

The swag.. the back story.. the puzzles.. the people in here.. the fan made swag..
It has been an AMAZING ride. I have gotten just about everybody I work with interested in the new movie just becasue of the swag on my desk. There are about 10 people that have ordered midnight tickets just becasue of my involvement in this ARG. To me THAT is very cool. I just want to say THANKS to everyone who posted and played this game for an amazing time and THANKS to 42E for a great ARG as well. See you all on the Game Grid!!

Wow. That's all that I can really say about this ARG. Wow. My first ARG that I actually played, and it was well worth it. The end was simply awesome (actually thought something happened to my computer!). Although there was barely any communication between me and you guys, i am glad to say this has been the coolest thing i have ever been a part of. And still, months after this is over, my friends will continue to think I'm a mega-geek due to my rambling about how me and all the FL members found Flynn. Laughing

Thanks guys. It's been quite a ride. I will not regret the two years I spent with you guys looking for (and finding) Flynn.

END OF LINE.

I'll pipe in with my agreement. I came into this way late, but have enjoyed it immensely. I've enjoyed trying to help out on puzzles, and what swag I was able to get is much appreciated.

42 Entertainment, you did a fantastic job. Thank you.

Everyone on the forums, I've never been on a forum that didn't cause flames to come through my monitor (I play too many MMO's Razz ) until this one. Wonderful group this.

Cya in the next ARG programs!
