No offense taken
I only put this up because it is TRON related and I just happened to get the scoop.
This is just another example of how cheesy and unimaginative along with the greed that has become Disney. $300 for a tron disk necklace that is on a string and not a chain? and the cost of the Oakleys.
Knowing how the company is running these days, I could not help but think about the FL movement forums. The evils being described as Encom were to much like Disney has become today. The company is nothing like it once was and even further from what their PR machine promotes.
So typical since all of the talent has been forced out of the company by corporate politics. 42E was hired for this ARG because Disney can no longer do something this good on their own so now they pay others to do it for them.
I know what it sounds like and that is why I gave the links.

PRICE$$$ This stuff is just too damned expensive.
I love that belt buckle, but $50-$150?!?
There was a Tron Belt Buckle at Spencer gifts for $18 and I thought that was outrageous.
That Tron keyboard is the only thing I see myself buying at more than $100.
This stuff is not collectible in my opinion because why would I want an "awesome" tron necklace that has the word HAN CHOLO written on it.
That is like buying a Star Wars collectible item that says "Puff the Magic Dragon"

It feels like 42E has been reined in by Disney on what they can and (more importantly) can't do. I'm not complaining in the pure sense, just that after all the "dust" settles, this is what we get: overpriced cheap crap.

Wow! Someone that said exactly what I was thinking.
After "Sam's" parachute stunt over the Encom conference, everything went quiet really quick, and never picked back up. We had a proliferation of sites and puzzles (17 different domain names and even more pages off of those domains), then puzzles that were probably already arranged before the parachute jump, for about a month, then space paranoids, then a long period of silence. Comicon brings us a few more puzzles and swag in a 3 week flurry then silence for 3 months (not counting the not-so-arg announcement of TronNight). Then arcadeaid has a really cool new puzzle, with 3 very pixelly badges and the potential for more swag. Definitely feels like someone told 42E to slow down... Bah, I guess I am just spoiled rotten....

My overpriced, cheap crap comment was aimed at the OP shop, NOT 42E's swag!

My comment wasn't at 42E's SWAG or anything else 42E has done. I think they have been excellent in every way!

I wonder how that would affect 42E's involvement with Disney in the future... But I suppose it depends on how the movie really does at the box office.
But I would rather have some hard-won swag from 42E instead of any fancy Tron jewelry any day, and I'm sure most everyone here would say the same. XD

Anyone have a clue what this is going to be? Better yet anyone willing to help me get it when the time comes?

Looks like I may be able to answer my own question. Is that what this is?
Why the line between the T and the R in the new logo? It looks so much better without that.

A friend of mine called the shop and they told him that the exclusive item was a special mounted film frame.

I can confirm that is correct, picked mine up this morning. It's a film cell on a little approx 5x3 matte with the TL poster next to it. Says it's limited to 500 pieces in the corner. Ones I saw had either a film frame of Sam or Flynn. Nice for a little memento, but not what I was expecting.
However, the first person in line received a prototype light up tron hoodie sweatshirt which was awesome (1 of 1 available to the public the girl said). The guy got in line at 3am right after the screening, so at least he earned a really nice piece of swag (I showed up at 9 and was about #6 in line. The Disney rep took a photo of the guy wearing it, so hopefully they'll post on the Royal/T or Disney site at some point.
