I'm too far back to see the hat and being here alone I can't easily leave the line for any reason.

If I tried that I would probably end up being the one person to get in trouble.

How did it all go down? Were there actors in costume?
The free screening was kinda underwhelming because it was so empty. I ran into Peeps420 down there, so he got to go, but I'd say the theater was maybe between 1/3 and 1/2 full.

oh the event?
MAN IT WAS AWESOME!
we seriously got to look at and touch - GET THIS - TWO Norelco razors. AND we got our pictures taken and uploaded to the Norelco "put your face in this poster" thing online which ANYONE can do.
.............
the "come at 6:30 for an event" didn't even happen... unless that norelco booth was seriously it...
I was pretty irked at Norelco. Looks like mailers went out with vouchers, because EVERYONE and their SIXTEEN children had them
nameless vouchers
they let anyone in
WELL WHATEVER
I saw the movie in IMAX and I have to say I quite thoroughly enjoyed it. So I can't complain anymore, cause I still got to see it early, and I'm happy. But man that is the LAST and ONLY time I do a Norelco promotion

Wow, that sucks, Smash. I'm sorry...
Well, I know Waterborn has a bunch covered, but I'm definitely gonna take care of my Chicago peeps with pins, so send me a PM, and we'll arrange mail/pickup.
Who's going opening night to Navy Pier, btw?

Good to meet everyone in person.
We got double sided posters as swag
-side one Sam and Quorra
-side two Clu
I loved the shout out to Hall H in the end credits.
Navy pier (or NorelCo?) also decorated the corridor to the theater. We walked under a cutout recognizer and past a glow in the dark lightcycle picture on the wall.
I distributed leftover TronNight wristbands to those in need.
I enjoyed the movie too.

Hah if I'd come on uF while I was in line, I'd have known who was there and said hey. My Droid battery wasn't fully charged and I was scared it was going to die. I did meet a few of you though so that's good! Lost track of Kneelb4zod in the theater, I was kind of scared to step out of line because I'm paranoid from past experiences. There was a pretty heated argument right in front of us at one point... two women who said they were "VIPs". Glad the ladies I was behind weren't taking jack from anybody and stood up for everyone behind them.
I wish Norelco had done things a little differently, we kept getting different info about when they were letting people in. They told us not to leave, so I never had any dinner even though we were like 50 yards from a food court. Thank Flynn for free popcorn and soda The decorations were great too.
BTW the woman who was passing out the popcorn boxes recognized my shirt - interesting. Maybe she worked for Disney and was well informed? Lot of them don't seem to know about the viral, but she must have. Did anyone get interviewed or anything on the way out? We stayed through the credits and were the LAST souls to leave Navy Pier XD
Tronmook, thanks for the bracelets! Everyone was pretty excited.
Wish I was doing a midnight screening, but I never got tickets. I'm in the burbs and don't have a car, and if I came into the city I'd miss the last train. Ah well, can't complain, since I got to see it already and with a row of uF people too

Kinda too bad we Norelco folks didn't bail on our screening and take over the other one! I was wondering if it was actually less attended. Disney scared away the hardcore people it was supposed to be for by making it public, and the public by making it sound like it was for the viral kids...

Was cool to put some faces with names last night. Sorry if I seemed a little antsy there towards the end of the line wait. The whole thing was really starting to get on my nerves and came to a boiling point when I saw that we were being held up by those two dips in line claiming to be VIP's. JUST WANTED TO SEE THE MOVIE! No, I do not want to touch your razor. No, I do not want my picture taken. No, my phone is in the car. LET ME IN! Had a funny moment when the woman handing out popcorn and soda asked if she hadn't already given me some, mistaking me for kneelb4zod as we are both bald with beards and were both wearing Flynn's Arcade shirts. LMAO! Had a family with two little kids sit down right next to me and fought the urge to move. Glad I didn't. Both kids were very, very well behaved. Don't think that little boy's eyes moved from the screen once!
Loved the flick, even though about half way through my head cold developed into a full blown migraine. (Was it just me or was that the LOUDEST IMAX sound you've ever heard??) Have decided to come back and visit Navy Pier again sometime in warmer weather. Though next time I'm going to study a map of Chicago's roads very, very carefully before I do.
So, after an 8 hour drive home, I am about to pass out. I've seen Tron Legacy. End Of Line.

Don't think I didn't think about it after hearing that they were handing out the Flynn Lives pins there. (Anyone who met me last night should see that I'm kind of a pin junkie!) Honestly, had I known it would have been so easy to get in, I may have. Though... after seeing it in IMAX, I don't know if I want to watch it any other way now. LOL!
