Haven't read this whole thread, just thought I'd drop an idea here for you math whizzes: the knocking on the walls in Jessica's room might have a pattern?

Apologies if this was already mentioned.

So...given that we've heard nothing more about the code, think that its still relevant? I mean one would think that it has to be, but still, no mention of it in video or on twitter for awhile now, which seems kinda weird considering he kinda made a big deal out of it earlier.

It's gotta be relevant, something as seemingly important as a mysteriously locked safe that nobody knows the combination to couldn't be just some red herring, could it? That would be silly. Wink

Don't know if anyone's suggested this yet, but when J posted that twit pic on twitter before entry 26, the number/contact info he received the text from was just a few pairs of numbers - 35:77//47. I'd want to see him try some combination of those, like 7747.

This is what i'm talking about, if anyone didn't follow:

Yeah, I'm thinking that tweet about the safe was just a bit of filler to keep us occupied. When they want to open the safe, they'll lead us to the code. Maybe after Jay has a talk with Jessica she'll supply the clue.

I just hope they do it. MH is really good about leaving us with more questions than answers most of the time.

Quick update: Im on vacation, staying at a hotel, and i decide to be productive by asking about safes.

Where i stay at, youve gotta request one, but more importantly they are FIRE proof

I like our definition of productive. "Well did you do anything productive while on vacation?" "Oh, I asked about hotel safes for this online game-story thing I play. So yeah, very productive."

On topic, has anyone gotten time to send these to Jay? And has anyone gotten anything in the way of a response, even if it's just :thanks for the ideas"?

 First time post, some observations

A couple of thoughts and observations as a newb to the whole Marble Hornets situation:

1) How closely has J examined all of his belongings? Has he looked underneath his laptop, under his bed, inside his shoes or wallet, under the TV, etc? I haven't seen him do too much furniture re-arranging...

2) Morse code has been passed around as possible clues and such recently, so playing around with that concept I looked back at the "/" blocks in the first TOTHEARK video, "Regards," and came up with this:

First block, 12x12, flashes three times: _ _ . = G.
Second block, 15x15, flashes three times: _ . _ = K.
Third block, 11x11, flashes three times: _ _ _ = O.

Interesting thing to notice about G, K, and O...

On a # pad G, K, and O are 4, 5, and 6 respectively. Furthermore, you press 4 once, 5 twice, and 6 three times to get them. That's 1 2 3 4 5 6. Can anyone see a 7 8 9 10 or such in there?

Math time!
12x12 = 144 x3 = 432
15x15 = 225 x3 = 675
11x11 = 121 x3 = 363
Add them up and you get 1470.

However, I think "Regards" is rather an old video to be a clue for this situation. Consider it a low possibility option. Also, I think the number of "/" marks was more for differentiation of morse letters than to mark numerical importance. I could be wrong though.

3) Furthering the morse code angle along the pointed out caller ID of 35:77//47, I put it into morse code and came up with this:

...-- ..... ---... --... --... -..-. -..-. ....- --...
With dots as 0 and dashes as 1, you get these numbers:
24 56 198 37 32 56
Reversed you get these:
231 199 57 218 223 7

4) The tally on the wall behind Masky = 27. The final row is IIIX. The only thing worth pausing on there is the Slenderman symbol for the X, but that may just be to say he's coming back.

5) While watching a clip of J looking out his window with the camcorder right up next to it, I could see the reflection of the ring around the lens and suddenly thought, "What if the Slenderman symbol isn't what we think it is? What if it actually means 'Don't film here'?" The "Smile for the camera" picture leads toward that. It also makes me think that perhaps Slenderman sees through cameras? Has any of the lore mentioned people seeing him without some sort of camera or light capturing device being present?

-==-=-=-=-Insert edit-=-=-=-==-

Furthermore, Alex was only caught up to when his camera was found by his (I'm assuming) girlfriend. Is it the act of videotaping oneself that puts one on the Slenderman radar?

-==-=-=-=-Edit done-=-=-=-==-

6) I think it's entry 17, but there's a scene where Alex and J are screen-testing ... Tim? ... and Slenderman is standing outside of the window the whole time. J complains that he's cold in this scene. Anyway, maybe it's just bad acting, but did it seem like when J hands Tim the bottle of water he did a double-take looking out the window? Seems to me that would mean he saw Slenderman but decided not to say anything. It's interesting because he claims to have no memory of that scene.

More thoughts to come later, I made the mistake of not writing down my ideas as I read through all of the backstory:p

Couldn't he just ask the hotel to open it? I've done it before when I forgot the code.

I had always thought the implication was that recording the Operator was what set him onto you.

I was going to suggest the same thing when the entry was posted, but figured Jay would be smart enough to figure that out on his own. Either he's evidently not, or he just hasn't had time to think about it yet. Razz

Some people had thought of this, but then other people pointed out that there might be a decapitated head in there for all we know.

We should make a list of things that could be in the safe.

Could be, but then that would mean the whole time Alex was away from the situation the Operator would've been with him, watching (unless it was just chance that the Op showed up when the camera got turned on). If the Op always meant Alex harm then why would he have waited until Alex's GF whipped out the camera to do something? Is the Op incapable of interacting with our world without being caught on film?
