Just wondering--did they have a dude stand in the car so he would look taller, or did they just have the car there so you wouldn't see the stilts or whatever? Razz

But that was a good way to resolve the bad Slendy, I wonder if they designed the videos that way or followed what everybody said?

Am I the only one who really wasn't that impressed with this video?

I mean, yeah, it was a nice way to explain the bad Slendy, and the second Slendy at the car was a lot better, but other than that...ehhh...

I'm not saying this series is horrible, I still think they're doing a great job. These last two videos though...well, I'm sure they'll improve.

i've resisted thus far, mainly cos i haven't gotten clear evidence that they're not jailbait yet. they look awfully young...

right. now, (slightly more) serious thoughts.

i've seen this series around for a bit, but i try not to follow things right from the beginning cos, well, i like to let the creators...develop the story a bit before i jump in, you know? i'm glad i waited until now to start watching, honestly, cos if i'd looked at the vids any sooner, i'd have dismissed them as lame and uninspired. especially after entry 10, hah.

the title makes me simultaneously think of bad horror movies and invader zin, which makes me wonder what kind of influences we'll be seeing on the plot and the characters. i'm digging the "normal kids being normal kids while creepy shit happens to them" angle, but i'm half-hoping for some sort of veering off into the surreal.

mostly, tho, i find this series...charming, i guess is the term for it. there's no real agenda (i.e. sifting through a vanished friend's video, making a slendy-bent fitness series, figuring out the circumstances behind a cousin's death, etc.) besides "ho shit let's record the creepy stuff." obviously, there's a drive to figure out what the creepy stuff is, but the way this series is playing that out is the way a normal kid with access to the internet would: by posting the evidence and inviting people to offer their opinions. i dunno. the charm comes from the...realness of it? something like that. especially in the case of the relationship between the main characters. aside from some obvious (and probably necessary) instances of guided conversation, everything feels pretty natural.

ahem. sorry for the novella of a post, guys.

tl;dr this is nifty and charming and i hope it doesn't crash and burn.

edit: also, kudos to these kids for having the creepy shit happen during the day. sure, it means that the effects are a little wonky, but it's...nice. i approve.

So far this series has really suprised me. The fact that they're actually using a car to try to track down the "bad guy or "impostor" is a one up for me since most slendy-stories involve just catching up to the guy and getting knocked out on the way by a "mysterious" force.....

As for the latest entry I think they're doing a good job really. Just the fact that whichever one of them is actually writing this and creating it..now they have to juggle 1.the impostor,2.the guy from the paper and 3.Actual Slendy. It kinda comforts me that they introduced a new character "the teen driver".

We'll see where it goes from here though cause they have 2 new characters now....i'm likin it so far though....

the "teen driver" may or may not have been a measure of convenience. i'm assuming that either...chris was the one's name, right? i'm assuming that either he can't drive or doesn't have access to a car and that the new kid was just the first person who happened to be on hand at the moment. whether he will be included in the future or will just be a one-shot character remains to be seen.

I'm just assuming that he's going to be in the series from now on 'cause you've got 3 evil guys to go up against considering the guy from the paper is now a slendy slave (i'm thinkin 'cause why would he just vanish out of thin air?)

I may be wrong though considering it's always the good guy vs. #'s of bad guys....

[META] I kinda assumed that we hadn't seen the driver up until now because he was playing the Slendy-imposter.

Still, I like this one - the main character guy seems to be fairly good at acting and it feels natural at least. Fave moment so far: the massive snow operator symbol.

Jorge Cantaloupez Very Happy

This only made the series take a downturn from 10, for me. The 'real' slendy looks pretty bad, and I'm not entirely convinced that the fake slendy is supposed to be fake. I really hope so. I used to love this series, they always created awesome tension and their improv is simply wonderful. But for chrissake, the last two videos have been shit. I don't care if the slendy is fake, I don't need to see him running away, that's fucking dumb and childish. And they already have a slenderslave Mortal Kombat lookin' dude, why introduce another one? I'm sorry, but I don't understand those who say that this video redeemed the series, it's an exercise childish stupidity that kept me laughing my ass of, rather than frightened

woah woah woah, I can understand the criticism of the entry before last, but sheesh, i think you guys are just automatically grouping the last two together because of that one entry. I think the last entry was a great turn around, because now we have a possibility of an impostor, a real one, and then a totheark character. I mean really, you cant say the other series have had the best slenderman's in the world either haha, i mean the one two ago was ....eh yeah lol, but this one to me is just as good as any of the others, all the series slendermans have their own flaws

Still isn't working. I even logged in to make sure. I don't think they're linking the right place.
