Good to see another update video, not surprisingly Alex sounds like he's going to be out of the game for awhile.

It's kind of weird how the Order runs the town but just doesn't show up at their house and actually kill both of them.

Seems like we're at a stalemate again, Chris can't go to the graveyard to find out who the betrayers are. Maybe get Jesse to help? He seems like the only one that could go back to the graveyard with some semblance of anonymity.

About the part with Jesse, as Chris stated, that there are complications with that.
1.) He can't find him.

2.) Chris and Alex tried to light him on hire.

I don't think Jesse's non-cult character will be returning to the series.

I swear, it's getting harder and harder to tell the difference between a series that's dead and a series that's active.

Well, this explains why the cult doesn't just go to their house and kill them. Daddy Slender-hotep won't let them.

Wow. What an return. Definitely enjoyed it a lot, to say the very least. I'll just mention the big things, rather than post a (more) gigantic analysis of the whole thing here.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1. I liked the explanation as to why The Order has not just killed Alex and Chris up to this point (which would seem to explain the shoddy job of actually killing them in "February 24th" and "Daniel Shipman's Visit: Third and Fourth Days". It does beg the question, why even try to kill Chris by stabbing him, as you risk actually killing him with that abdominal stab wound (even though the risk of mortality is lower than say, a gunshot wound)....But nonetheless...

2. The video within the video was good stuff. The red mask was a nice touch, the Overseer was entertaining and menacing enough, and the beheading noises...Who knows how accurate to the real thing it is, but I definitely cringed upon hearing it. Well done.

3. The explanations for the delay were good enough (they certainly made enough sense).

4. I feel bad for the poor guy that's the lead suspect in Jesse's murder. (I had a good laugh at it).

As for where to go from here, here's betting on a KindVonDerRitter video as the next bit of DarkHarvest00 goodness that we get. Speaking of which, "Memoir" becomes even more interesting after the events of "Log Entry #28". Namely a few things:

a) KvdR alludes to Chris and Alex having blood on their hands forever if they fail (and one could certainly argue that they played a role in Jesse's death). Here's hoping we see this thought expanded upon in further entries.

b) Secondly, this interesting enough screenshot:

http://media.tumblr.com/ce084524d3d12313a7285a9afc03468a/tumblr_inline_mnnb47OcVY1qz4rgp.png

Note the time, with the "time is almost up" acting as the next minute hand. Namely, it looks like (or just approaching) 3:15. Or, put another way, 03/15 (the day of Jesse's execution). Coincidence? Possibly, but either way a very nice touch.

So yeah. A very satisfying entry. Here's looking forward to the next one.

Is it just me, or is it STILL impossible to take the Order seriously, even when they're cutting heads off? Not trying to hate on DH, it's a good series, but given the high production values in most aspects of the series you'd think they could find someone to be the "voice" of the Order who doesn't deliver his lines like an annoyed cartoon villain.

Seriously, if they ever catch the guy and unmask him, I'm expecting the first words out of his mouth to be "I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

I think that's kind of the point behind the speaker, like how the Tribe Twelve crossover video showed he came to the meeting wearing sneakers underneath his ominious robe. He's trying too hard to play the part that it'd almost be pitiful if he wasn't responsible for orchestrating deaths.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see a new DH entry. I really like this one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I especially like how the Order doesn`t know why Alex & Chris are still being kept alive by Slim-hotep, but they know better than to question its actions. It`s pretty interesting that it`s kept them alive thus far; I hope we get a reason why in future entries.

Is it just me, or was Chris acting a little strange at the beginning? I`m starting to think that ever since the incident where he 'interrogated' Jesse, he`s been starting to come unhinged. I don`t think he`s going to run off & join the Order or anything, but I think he`s reaching his breaking point after dealing with both the Order and Mr. Slim for years now. I would be losing my mind too if I were in his & Alex`s situation.

I agree that the red mask was a nice touch.

I personally don`t see anything wrong with how the Overseer speaks or acts. I agree with what Shaoken said; he`s definitely trying too hard but it makes him seem much more menacing to me at least.

Overall, I`m very pleased with this entry. It was a nice thing to wake up to. I also hope there will be another KvdR video soon in addition to this.

So, basically,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They're on Slendy's ShitList

That's a comforting thought. XD

As for the Overseer's High School Theatrics Voice:

Agreed, especially when we see (again in the TT crossover) how little the idiots actually know about what they've gotten themselves into. Evil can come from very mundane sources, up to and including drama nerds that wear sneakers for dark rituals to the Slender Man. (Everyone knows that combat boots are more appropriate for that sort of event. Razz)

(Kind of reminds me of what I've been reading in Apocalypse Codex, actually...)

I say that it shows that The Order is made up of people.
People who worship an eldrich horror beyond comprehension. Very Happy

Great entry, and I really like the way information was given in the guise of being an 'intimidation' entry.

So:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

-Chris and Alex have been on the cult's radar for about 2 years.
-They can't directly harm or kill Chris and Alex, but they will definitely kill just about everyone else around them.
-They are 'officially' known to the cult as 'Harbingers'
-According to the cult, they will eventually be killed by Nylarhotep (TO).
-There is a 'rogue' cult that does not always (if ever?) follow the direction of the Overseer (unless they have their own overseer).

I'm hoping the cemetery and map aren't just a red herring or something that's 'over', if they can figure out the betrayers they could possibly contact them and get further info. Otherwise, the immediate next move without some external force pushing things along isn't immediately obvious, at least to me.

The bit about 3:15 and Jesse in the KVDR video is pretty interesting, I suspect we'll get an entry from him soonish.

OOG:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The pacing of late is a bit too drawn out for my taste, but these guys always make the wait worth it. Great entry and great way of moving the plot forward.
