It's actually Gorr'Rylaehotep, not Nyarlathotep.

But in my head canon, Slendy and Nyarly have tea every Thursday while their minions fight for their entertainment.

caffeine gives me wonderful ideas Razz

I noticed someone used TO to indicate Slendy. This is a misnomer; TO stands for The Operator--that's Marble Hornets canon Wink

Anyway, yeah, poor farmer Kraska XD

Also, I always got that the cult was rather stupid. That's what makes them even more threatening, under the right conditions, and pathetic, under usual conditions.

Yeah, despite the cult worshipping the ground Slendy walks on I have the feeling that Slendy has never had any time for them. We've only seen Slendy pop up while they're around twice, and both times it was when they're harrassing someone else he has an interest in (the boys and Noah from Tribe Twelve).

So my personnel interpretation is that beneath all the rituals and rites they're just children crying out for daddy's attention.

We did see Slendy warp away that one cultist though, possibly to the 4th world, so he cares to some extent. He may have deemed that one particular guy worthy of "godhood" (or maybe some sort of horrendous death even), but didn't care enough to do anything but toss the other cultists several hundred feet into the air.

It's a stretch because I know the crossovers aren't meant to run that deep, but Slendy sending someone to the 4th world and them gaining immortality sounds suspiciously like being "chosen" to go to another extra-dimensional realm and become a member of the Collective. They are, after all, essentially immortal. If the 4th world and the Collective's realm really are one and the same, maybe that one guy was coincidentally marked even before involvement with The Order?

Alas, Slendy is far too busy annoying amateur filmmakers to have time for them. XD

I can't see being taken to the fourth world as a sign of "caring" (in whatever sense of the term you consider an eldritch abomination to have)...I kind of like RedSoul78's idea, but even if that isn't the case it sounds more like something Slendy would do when he's particularly tired of ripping people apart and really wants to make someone miserable.

Or he was just tired of hearing the cultists whine about the Fourth World. That too. Razz

Perhaps he's sick of the worshiping and stuffy rituals and was impressed by someone being direct for once.

Or perhaps he just wanted to throw people to other dimensions and into the air. You know, for some lulz.

"Finally, I have enough people for a good old fashioned game of cultist tossing!"

*throws the cultist onto the hood of the guys car*

"Hey did you see that?! Alright your turn! ....um, are you guys playing?"

Cultists: Sorry, Gorly. But you always win at this game. Sad

Is it just me, or is it STILL impossible to take the Order seriously, even when they're cutting heads off? Not trying to hate on DH, it's a good series, but given the high production values in most aspects of the series you'd think they could find someone to be the "voice" of the Order who doesn't deliver his lines like an annoyed cartoon villain.

Seriously, if they ever catch the guy and unmask him, I'm expecting the first words out of his mouth to be "I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

I was more put off by the other members adjusting their masks and scratching.

Okay, good I'm not the only one who was distracted by that. I know the horrible pathetic/corny-ness of this cult is probably intentional but it really bugs me. It's one of the only complaints I have with t his series. I just can't take them seriously as villains. They're supposed to have done all this evil stuff but then they just seem like those weird kids in middle school who thought they were satanists.

Just started watching this series. I'm nearly done season one. I've already found the playlist and I'm reading the Project Egypt blog in order as well. For me, the series isn't that confusing and very interesting, kinda like a mystery/adventure story if it was told by the guys who did TribeTwelve and Marble Hornets. I started watching it because it takes place in the same universe as EverymanHYBRID, one of my favorite webseries.

What do the rest of you guys think?
