I keep forgetting the Hark Darvest crew is actually in Jersey as well. Now there's two things I can say would actually get me to willingly travel across the river.

This was neat. I'm not sure who the figure was trailing them but I didn't get the sense that the other car was Jesse (who, BTW, is a trip). I also loved the banter in the car re: their bullshit "project," significantly better thought-out than Jay's excuse to Jessica about "hotels" over in Marble Hornets. Couldn't really say if their riffing on that is a meta note or not, but I like to think of it as one.

The box reminds me a bit of the "Leviathan box" from old school horror show Dark Shadows, during their H.P. Lovecraft ripoff storyline in 1969, when an ancient cult worshipping prehistoric dark gods - "the Leviathans" - invaded the town. The followers of the Leviathans carried around this wooden box with symbols on it, and any time anyone dared open it they would be imbued with a terrible knowledge and become one of the cultists, or end up killed by the horrific Cthulu-like monstrosity that was always conveniently just off-camera.

I don't think McComber had dementia - I think as one of the cultists he knew he was in sudden danger for some reason and had grown unhinged and paranoid. Hence the disappearance.

The decelerated aging made me think of Joseph Curwen from The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, which made me wonder if Chris's persistence to keep investigating might be caused by something other than just curiosity. There's not much to support that theory at the moment, though.

I never thought of this as time deceleration, but the idea that the cult killed people to get a hold of their time span to make them younger. I know a movie used that idea, I can't remember which one, but ever since this last video came out that's what I instantly thought was going on within the cult. Now how Slenderman ties in to this I don't know.

They probably had Jesse tagging along in case something happened to them. They never pointed him out, because they did no want McComber, to notice him.

Ok, that audio is seriously disturbing. Can anyone make out words, or is it backwards or something? It's definitely distorted, but I thought I heard "What do you need me for?" in a little girl's voice. I'm shite at discerning audio stuff, though.

OH GOD WHAT.

To me, that voice sounds more like a normal voice with the pitch amped way up. There's obviously a bunch of other effects/distortion in there (Slenderspeak?) so it has to be a possibility. It's definitely female though, which leads me to think Heather may have met an unfortunate fate.

Given that the Project Egypt post in the description is talking about all those children disappearing, I'm thinking it's supposed to just be a little girl with all the Slender-distortion around it. Quite disturbing either way though.

And I'm pretty sure it's saying "What happened? ... Where am I? ... What do you need me for?", then something I can't make out followed by what sounds like 'leave me alone'.
