Hey guys.

Don't know if anyone remembers me posting here a few days ago, and I doubt any one cares, but oh well. Plans fell through and I really don't have much to do tonight. It's just past midnight right now, and I really never sleep. So I guess I'm taking your advice and will catch up on the series. Including re-watching the logs I've already finished. I'm on six now. I'll either finish by morning or some time close after that.

See you on the other side.

I remember and I care.I'm sorry your plans fell through--but I am betting you are really enjoying DH.Let us know what you think--I myself am curious Smile
Haha, I remember reaching Log 10(?) last night and was cringing big time. I wanted to quit watching AGAIN. I stuck with it, though, remembering what you guys said. Glad I did. Things really picked up, especially the double log that night at Greg's place. That's my favorite one so far.

I reached the part where they gave the download link to the black book. I downloaded it but came to the conclusion that I didn't really want to read so many pages at around 4 in the morning so I just gave up DH for the night and went to bed. I still don't necessarily feel like reading.

Since you guys are so far ahead of me though. I guess I'll just ask. Do I have to read the book? Or could I just get by with what you all summarized in this thread so many pages back? What did most of you do?

Great to hear your enjoying it. I did not read it and still understand the plot, it might not be a bad idea though.

I'm glad you are enjoying DH--I was pretty sure you would.I myself did not read the book and I don't feel like I am in the dark about anything.I'm not saying NOT to read it--but if it's gonna be a "deal-breaker" as far as it hindering or stopping you from continuing to watch entries/follow the story--then I'd say skip for now and come back to it later if you feel like it.
Also--the two cameras/viewpoints at Greg's house is one of MY favorite entries as well. Cool

Although I love that entry, I got a little bored with it because the beginning is just, " Dude, it's been 15 minutes should we go in there?"

But when Chris got in there, it was pretty, epic.

I feel that's what made it more realistic though. Nobody was quick to jump to the assumption that something terrible had happened, although the fear was still there fresh in the back of their minds. I think that's how it would be in real life, especially for those who were clueless to the situation that the boys were in.

I always got that realistic reaction feeling from Dark Harvest. Their reactions made sense, for the most part, and they played it off very well too. That, and the more twisted cult aspect of it.

Those two posts. ^

Log 14 - both parts - is a masterwork of Slondordom because of the sophisticated, controlled group scenes, the likes of which no one else has done in Slondorvlawgs, and the awkward yet hyperrealistic approach to the situation. You have a group of teens just dithering about outside at loose ends like anyone else would, and when Chris enters the house - with everyone JUST outside - the gnawing sense of unease amidst the banality of the befuddled, bored crowd slowly slips over into his hushed panic, very naturally. As it would in real life.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Keep an eye out for Kind Von Der Ritter or one of the Slendercult members at 1:24 in the window behind Chris

Edit: I'm a page too late on this one Embarassed

I think the new video does provide some evidence Mark Macomber was a scientist and not a cultist. I doubt a man of science would be heavy on any form of religion. But sacrificing inmates might hint at one of the cults motives.

Another person is snooping around with a camera at the house in front of his.

Probably a cultist. Or that one FBI agnet who's name escapes me.

FINALLY ALL CAUGHT UP.

Great vlog. Great great vlog. Might post some detailed thoughts/questions/speculations/assumptions/etc. later. Right now, nearly 7AM. I'm going to bed.

Do you mean Detective Amsel (from some unknown division of the police)? I'm guessing that he's from the DOD or the OSS or some third agency that gobbled up OSS. I like the idea that it was him rather than a cultist skulking around outside Chris's window- even f it's entirely unrealistic that a field agent would let himself be caught out in the open like that, rather than surveilling from some unmarked van. Wink
