Finally caught up...cannot WAIT for the next log, shit is really heating up.

My current theories on things:

1. The cult is definitely trying to open a rift and possibly bring more Slendermen into the world. Seeing as they already have one Slenderman, a collapsed rift in the Atlantic Test Site...all they need is to complete the cycles with Egyptian science.

2. KindVonDerRitter or whatever is definitely a cultist intent on helping Chris and Alex out by giving them hints and stuff...in fact, it's probably the cultist who started leaving hints and stuff around the house, almost certainly in fact.

3. Following this, I think that KVDR is almost certainly a time-traveler or capable of moving through space and time without being detected, most likely as a result of a collapsed Rift at the Atlantic Test site or as the result of a completed Rift. We saw what a little of what that was capable of in the Atlantic Test Site log.

4. I know the Black Book warns against doing it but I suspect KVDR is from a future where Slenderman(or Slendermen?) has been summoned, the ritual completed, and our cultist friends do not become gods, they get slaughtered and the shitstorm begins. KVDR is someone moving through time to manipulate events to get Chris and Alex to stop the ritual from happening, maybe even trying to send Slendy back where he came from.

My rationale for this theory?

First of all, Slenderman is NOT the origin of what happens. It's KVDR who starts messing with Chris and Alex. We know from Trauen that KVDR has the power to move around undetected by stopping time and I suspect that that is what happens for a majority of the videos. He definitely planted the notes, sent the emails, and got the McComber newspaper in the attic.

Slenderman doesn't even get involved until Log 8 once the cultists realize our heroes are on the case. With warnings like the bags of blood and occasional Slendy appearances. The chase in Log 11 looks more and more like KVDR trying to lead them to the Day Camp(not 100% on this, but I'm assuming that the Day Camp is where Alex tries to go in Log 13).

The death of Greg fulfills two purposes for the cult: to get Chris and Alex to stop looking for answers and for the organs they need for the presumed sacrifice. KVDR tries to get them to look for his Black Book which is presumably full of important details.

Presumably, we'll get to meet KVDR soon who is either one of Christ or Alex from the future or Marc McComber of yore. With the time travel shit, there is a lot of room for interpretation and possibly for mind fuck but I definitely think this is what we're building towards.
