To put it very simply: confidence, ownership, and assertiveness = success. This is true in all facets of life.

I have a lot of experience leading "teams" of people in the real world, am an extremely competent individual (technically and organizationally), and can bring a lot of practical ability to the group.

I'm 100% business, so if you want someone who is going to be efficient and work hard to do what it takes to keep Angora on top, vote for me (#052).

That's assuming any of those skills will be useful in this contest. And who said this was going to be about keeping Angora on top? HABIT wants us split up against each other-- we need to work together as much as we can.

You know, this is what I always hated about class elections. Just one day of this, and already I'm vaguely put off.

In order to restore my enjoyment of the game, I'm pulling out of my campaign, in order to "spend time with my family."

Please don't runt me.

Aw, we won't.

And I kinda share your feelings. I hope that team Angora can come to a decision quickly, get most of their votes in, and then be done with it.

It's not a popularity contest, and I don't think that being "leader" is going to make you any safer or better off than the runt. You'll just have a different sort of trouble awaiting you.

So have and am I but I don't see it being useful for the tournament.

If HABIT is asking us to elect a leader I think it's very likely for organizational reasons. When it comes to submissions or clarifications, there are obvious benefits to dealing with 3 people rather than 200.

Even if that's not the case, I can't imagine a "leader" position where those skills don't apply.

I agree that ALL of us rabbits should stick together. That does not mean that I won't put our team ahead of the others, priority-wise.

At least you're not willing to stab us in the back Very Happy
I personally think that HABIT is wanting leaders so he can use them to vote people out. The runts will more than likely either be eliminated or made to perform another task, or like others have said, he may turn it all on it's head so leaders become runts and vice versa. HABIT enjoyed watching other people's discomfort and takes pleasure in making them do things to.......dehumanize themselves. Already from the trials we've been given and things he's said I think he's trying to numb us. Turn us into the sociopath he is in order for him to reveal something to us later on.....buuuut I could be totally wrong.

I agree that dehumanization seems to be a large part of what's going on here. We're rabbits and fishes, prey to be toyed with. There's more to this vote than simply electing a spokesperson. No way it's that straightforward.

Angora Rabbit #050 checking in! I'll vote with the mass majority and I'll try my best to contribute in conversation, if possible.

Exactly. Something doesn't sit right about having to vote for a leader AND a runt. I have a feeling that HABIT is going to get the leader to do something to the runt. Whoever the runt turns out to be for us really should be aware that if the leader says or does anything nasty towards them, it's more than likely something HABIT is getting them to do.
HABITS line of thought is pretty easy to follow when you know what to look for. It's working out what he's up to that's the hard part.

I see that people are still garnering for my leadership role.

It's by vote. HABIT will be announcing who each team leader and runt are. Rolling Eyes

I saw an e-mail go out earlier for trying to schedule a time for another Angora chat-- did we ever get that scheduled, or are we still waiting to hear back from more fluffy fluffy rabbits?

There's been talk of 6, and talk of 9, both EST. But the chat is open and people are there now (though it's very quiet.)
