 		[OT] Dec 17th meetup thread
People who want to watch the movie together, post here
So, I finally broke down and bought tickets. I had been holding out hope for a free show before general audiences, but decided 1. it probably won't happen- sounds like they're taking the time to do lots of last minute tweaking.
2. Seeing it before is fun, but there's a certain manic insanity which is so fun about watching stuff opening night.

So, I'm in NYC and bought my ticket for the IMAX 3D showing at the 1998 Broadway AMC Loews theatre. Those of you familiar with it might remember that this is the theatre where we watched the trailer together oh so many months ago.

Is anyone planning on going there? If so, is anyone interested in meeting up and watching together? You might remember me as the insane sumnabitch who was first in line last time Wink I had a great time then and am hoping to again.

Edit: I'm going to try (hah) to have an updated list here at the top of folks and where they'll be. I'm also including showtimes for slight variables where and there.

Remember, 12:00 am is midnight- thursday night/friday morning.

2. EDGECRUSHER - Arizona, Mesa, Dickinson Gateway 12 IMAX Theatre.
Showtime: 11:55 pm December 16th
3. jumpinjoe09 - Missouri, St. Louis. B&B Wildwood 10 theater, 3D.
4. Rogi Ocnorb - California (?), Sacramento. Esquire theatre
Showtime: midnight
5. CloneTommy - Unknown yet
6. thebruce - Toronto, Scotiabank
showtime: midnight
7. Leovinus - Madison...Dunno state- lots of Madison's. Malco, midnight showing, or Tinseltown (seriously, that's a real name?) in Pearl.
8. emeraldbeacon - California, San Diego. Edwards Cinemas, Mira Mesa (just off I-15 at Mira Mesa Blvd)
Showtime: 12:01 pm (that's noon, did you mean am?). Has extra tickets.
9. CalebH2010 - Still unclear on time, but probably Regal Majestic 20 and IMAX in Downtown Silver Spring, MD
10. Who: arielfournier and bowaverly
When: 12:01AM Dec. 17th (2 tickets in hand)
Where: the ONLY IMAX theatre in downtown San Francisco
11. FSURobbie - Augusta, GA. Hang in there buddy, looks like I'm going by myself too- that's one fo the reasons I wanted to start this.
12. Distraction - DownTown Disney- Disneyland california edition it sounds like, 12:01 am.

14. KevinG472 - IMAX in Riverside at the Galleria @ Tyler where we saw the sneak peek.
15. PHAZEN - Midnight Showing at the AMC Universal CityWalk Stadium 19 IMAX Theater in Universal City (Los Angeles).

17. renderinfo - Midnight Showing. Sunrise, FL IMAX Sawgrass Mall Midnight Opening Night...

22. Hayvock - IMAX 3D at Tyson's Corner in Northern VA premiere night. Depending on how insane we think the line may be we will show up at either 9:30 or 10.
23. retrogmr - Regal Hacienda Crossings Stadium 21 & IMAX in Dublin, CA for the 12:01 showing.
24. RustyMuffler - Council Bluffs, IA IMAX for the midnight show
25. kilayi - Raleigh IMAX at the Marbles Kids Museum for the midnight opening

 		B&B Wildwood 10 Theater back home in St. Louis. 3D and on the biggest screen i've probably ever seen a movie on. In the event that there is a Flynn Lives or Encom event going on in New York, I will definitely be there instead Surprised

 		Unless something terminal happens like us getting earlier tickets as part of the game and it being such a stinker that I'd cancel, I should be at the opening Midnight showing with the family at the Esquire Imax in Sacramento.

 		Here's my information:

Region: San Diego, CA
Theater: Edwards Cinemas, Mira Mesa (just off I-15 at Mira Mesa Blvd)
Showing: 12:01pm, IMAX 3D (one of the miniature technically-but-not-really-IMAX screens)

I have several tickets that I've purchased, that are not spoken for to date (as an assurance that people I know will have a chance to get into the theater). If anyone's interested in joining me, I can put your name on my list...

 		I'll be seeing it on the 17th, not sure what time exactly, because I've now changed my mind about seeing it in IMAX as it will cost over $80 for my family and that's before concession items which will run another $30. So I may be just going to a standard Real-D showing. If I decide to go IMAX again, i'll be going to the 7:00 PM showing at the Regal Majestic 20 & IMAX in Downtown Silver Spring in MD.

In San Francisco
Who: arielfournier and bowaverly (my girlfriend and I)
When: 12:01AM Dec. 17th (2 tickets in hand)
Where: the ONLY IMAX theatre in downtown San Francisco

This theatre is a GREAT location for premiers and preview showings. The Scott Pilgrim preview was there for WonderCon with the whole cast. Tron Night also drew in some hardcores: Joseph Kosinki appeared and Fresno-based Phylos and his gang were there It was awesome to match usernames to faces and meet the lucky lady who got the mini-disc #001 lol. Anyway, this theatre is good stuff so please come and join us. Oh, and don't accidentally get the Disney Digital showing, go for IMAX while they're available!

I am considering having a party on the 17th in Silver Spring. I'll keep you in the loop as the time gets closer. Screening location would be at Regal Majestic.

I got my tickets a long time ago for the midnight showing (12:01 am) at the Scotiabank theater downtown Montreal.

As for me..... more than likely IMAX in Riverside at the Galleria @ Tyler where we saw the sneak peek. I am thinkin about hitting that midnight showing.
