The way I see it, Jay only had the chest cam for a short period of time in Entry #52, so I don't see him having a real opportunity to film it. I know some think he was teleported to it when he tackled Slendy and then teleported back, but that seems rather complicated. I think it was probably just Alex going back there, but totheark hacked into Alex's computer and took it off the chest cam hard drive for himself, then hacked Jay's computer and put it on there. He presumably hacked Jay YouTube before.

This made me rewatch entry 52. Never thought about it, but Jay was really quick to put the chestcam on even though he had never done so before.

The footage taken during the operator struggle is at first the chestcam, then the handcam. I really can't figure out what Jay is sitting against staring up at the operator. it looks like nothing in the hotel room (maybe the blinds, but they were closed and there's stilll a black squiggly line going across em)

Makes me wonder why Jay doesn't use the chestcam in season 3 even though he still has it. It's probably a bitch to shoot with that thing because you can't tell if you messed up or not until you plug it into a computer and check

Wow. Serious necrothread. Still, this is one of my pet theories, particularly in light of entry 52.

My theory on this is that entry 29 is actually outside of linear time - vaguely in sync with what we see in entry 23. It is called "no entry" for a reason - it is outside of regular continuity and fucks with the general cause-effect and chronology of what happens to Jay.

I have to agree that Jay only has the chestcam for a brief period of time prior to the brain wipe that makes him lose seven months. There's no reason to suggest that he actually goes back into Rosswood after the confrontation with Alex. And even if he did, it has to be a significant period of time after Bruce met his untimely end. it would not make sense for the blood seen in entry 29 to be fresh. And prior consensus on entry 29 is that the footage is taken by Jay. There no accepted way in conventional causality for Jay to have found the bloody scene where Bruce was taken while the blood was still fresh.

It's an extremely WTF theory, but the one of the few even vaguely suggested by the existing facts provided by the entries (the second being that Jay slender-walked [aka fugue-walked] to the site immediately after the murder). Particularly given the fact that the camera person is using a chest came and a handheld camera.

I have no idea why the Operator would bend time and space to take Jay to the Tunnel of RAEG after events of entry 52, but that's asking an inscrutable faceless guy to make sense.

I have to be honest, I like the idea of Hoody being able to go buy a seventy dollar chest cam and a pre-owned camcorder and just having followed Alex to the tunnel at some point, having seen what happened, and having come back to record the evidence, or lack thereof. I mean, whoever came to that tunnel searched around like they knew something should be there, and they were moving fast, like they were on a mission. Even if Jay knew what happened, I don't think he would have needed to run. The only other reasonable explanations are Alex (more reasonable, really, if I'm honest, but it's weird for Alex footage to be hidden on Jay's laptop, unless someone put it there - it certainly wasn't Alex himself, so, more Hoody involvement seems likely imo), or Tim (who doesn't seem to really want to give Jay information).

Just, the clothes, the clothes, the clothes. I don't see it being Jay in any scenario.

My theory is that Alex recorded this himself. He wasn't completely lucid during Entry #49 and shortly afterwards he had vague memories of what happened. He went back to see if what he remembered was real or not and found the evidence, then got his memory wiped by the operator. In Entry #45 Alex has a handheld camera, and he mentions explicitly that his "satchel" is a camera case in Entry #50, so I think it's reasonable to assume that this held the second camera. (Some people suggested that it held the gun, but if that's the case then why didn't Alex just shoot Bruce? At such short range he would be unlikely to miss.) I'm not sure why Alex would use two cameras, but then I'm also not why Jay would either. In the short period of time Jay has between arriving at the hotel and the operator showing up he copies the contents to his laptop with the name "noentry" because he wants space on the camera, and Alex has made it very clear what will happen if he uploads videos to youtube.
