Probably one of those things that has been said a million times and I just haven't seen it, but since we are on the topic...

Could Slender Man be more of a black dog than a villain?? Showing up as a portent of bad things to come but not causing them? He just lurks around and since he looks creepy, and bad things happen near him people assume he causes them but he's just chillin out maxin relaxin all cool. One possibility is him showing up to J and Alex maybe because of Masky and not the other way around as I always see said?

I think that ol' boy Slendy's just misunderstood y'know. He was tellin me 'bout this time him and his friend Rake Jorgenson were goin' for a swim and Rake took his pants off and started rubbin' up against him. Y'know Slendy didn't like that so took his clawed tentacles n stuff and he pulled out his phone and called his mom. Ol' mamma slendy now she wasnt too pleased so she sucked Rake's brains out with her beak. So now that's why Slendy's got a few loose bolts in his noggin, y'know. Me and him were smokin' some cigarillos once, cause i got his number after that whole bar thing, and we were talkin 'bout globalization y'know, and how NAFTA fucked us in the ass cause uh them NAZI LIBERALS. y'know. And he told me 'bout this Evan fellah, said he was a 'Peppy little spitfuck that he couldn't wait to mind rape'. nah I figured that was a threat at me, y'know, cos i was drunk, so i tried to fight slendy. Long story short, my dick looks like a tin can someone crushed with their hand.

One of the shots features a glimpse of another camera, meaning there were two in the one place.. Which doesnt happen too often..

Is that to say that Alex has found Jay or vice versa??

Following a theory I have that slendy is an Alex-specific phenomena, I'm going to guess that theyve found eachother.. And in turn, slendy has found them.

But of course, they dont remember. Weird that it's in jay's hard drive though, meaning that it rules out being one of alex's tapes from Marble Hornets..

My guess is that it's from the 7 months jay doesn't remember.

Or it's a present from Masky/TTA.

 		I tried to listen to the voice in the clip too and while I couldn't understand it it vaguely sounded like there where TWO voices.

 		I really don't buy this "Slendy is a good guy" idea at all. Why was Alex so concerned about him the whole time? "SEES ME". There's zero evidence that there is some other entity around to defend Alex from. I've applied Occams razor to this ARG from the start, and i've rarely been wrong. What evidence is there that anything but SM was in Alex's room in #14 that had managed to get in without being filmed? And even if there was, did Alex sleep through an epic battle between 2 eldritch horrors? I think that in #26, he just had far more experience with SM, and therefore acted more rationally as a result, kind of like how an experienced soldier can keep his wits about him a lot more easily than a greenhorn. Lastly, I don't view criminal stalking as being friendly behaviour. SM is, in my view, an amoral entity that just acts as it sees fit, which is to say, unpredictably.

Your point explains why he isn't just a mindless killing machine, but being that he's an eldritch abomination, it's quite likely that whatever impulses he's following aren't the kind that we can easily understand by comparing him to a mere animal. Quite honestly, he has a reason for what he does, we just don't know what it is yet. I'm betting that he's malicious in some ways, but I don't have enough substantial evidence to prove it.

@McWeird: If that were true, we wouldn't have him constantly following Alex. If you're deathly afraid of something, you don't constantly follow it and sneak into it's room at night.


Maybe it is attempting to investigate them just as they investigate it? And as to sneaking into his room at night, J seems determined to keep going back to that house until he dies so maybe Slendy wants to know about them as much as they want to know about him?

 		What if slendy just scared someone, they went running through the tunnel (we see the camera man running at the beginning of the clip as though maybe he's being chased).. tripped and hit their head on the rock or something. It's so simple though.. it can't quite possibly be that...

It seems, from what I could see, that the cameraman was wearing a chestcam as well as carrying a camera in his hands. There didn't appear to be multiple cameramen in that shot, and if there had been, I'm almost certain that whoever was wearing the chestcam would have turned to look at the other cameraman at some point, which he didn't. Therefore, it's safe to assume that there was only one cameraman.

I also have to completely reject the theory that Slendy only stalks Alex. If that were true, he wouldn't have appeared in the 'Return' video, and he wouldn't have appeared to Jay in Entry 23. And since it was on Jay's hard drive and had no evidence of another cameraman in it, it was most likely just Jay at some point during The Seven Month Blank. That is totally the official name for that now.

@Skully, that ignores the fact that both Jay and Alex, at some point, stopped trying to investigate him. And yet Slendy kept coming after them. In fact, once they tried to stop, the phenomenon only got stronger. Slendy started sneaking around Alex's house and did whatever he did to them in the basement in entries 22 and 23. If he was just investigating, he wouldn't have seemingly kept drawing them in. At least, not so maliciously.

 		S'been a while since I've added anything, but have we established that it /was/ Jay in the footage? Has anyone considered matching his hand to one of the entries from S1 where he opens the door to the House?

It's generally accepted to be him. The cameraman is filming with a chestcam, and since the only character that we've seen that has a chestcam is Jay, it's assumed to be him.

 		Wait.. so after the analysis thing theres two voices?
If so, I still think that noentry thinks that maybe J was with TTA or Alex, and there was something significant with that place or that cloth?

Maybe theres a reason why J put the file as hidden in his OWN cpu?
