I for one think I hear "I did?" more than "honey," but I do desire cleaner audio. That said, those who have been providing audio have been doing a great job, I know it can't be easy, so thanks.

Also, interesting theory about why she got kicked out! It would fit with a few others of my pet theories, so I think I'll keep it. And feed it cream and freshly killed mice.

Hmmm, if she got kicked out for making loud banging noises all night, I wouldn't be satisfied. There was probably a great deal more to it, or at least something more scary than just annoying.

If I was her parent (if it was family who kicked her out) I'd have brought her to a sleep clinic or at least a doctor to figure her out.

My impression was that she had been kicked out, maybe of her apartment by her landlord for repeatedly being loud into late hours of the night with no good explanation. And then, perhaps when she explained and possibly mentioned lapses in memory, he accused her of being drunk and unruly, and she protested, leading perhaps to an altercation that got her kicked out. Or something similar. Obviously, this is almost entirely unfounded, and simply a pet theory I'm feeding and lodging, but I like it.

I like it too, it's a nice and simple explanation -- doesn't require a ton of additional background info either.

And those kinds of theories, the ones that don't require much complicated maintenance and stretching, never mind the feeding of other unfounded theories that come in with, are the sorts of theories I always keep as pets the longest.

This is the exact same theory I deduced as well. It takes all the evidence we have of her situation and applies it without making too many additional suppositions or ignoring any details.

Perhaps she was kicked out for disappearing for long periods at a time leading her loved ones to believe she was out drinking? Jay's had similar problems

I've been playing with it for a while now- and I agree with Makdee. Much of what I ended up doing made the audio sound like someone was choking, for some reason- I've had quite a bit of trouble with the footsteps/camera jiggle. I'll do some more later if I can get it any cleaner.

does anyone else find it weird that jessica is on her phone in the hall, just standing there against her door? like she's waiting for J? Notice how she immediately ends her phone conversation?

Yep, tis a bit weird. As stated before it is possible that Jessica was waiting for Jay.

Let's look at the situation from Jessica's perspective. We are assuming that she has not lied to Jay.

She was kicked out of her apartment for doing something she has no recollection of occurring and she is certain she did not do. So she goes to a hotel. The hotel is apparently empty except for the person in the room next to her. This person constantly wears a camera, seems somewhat familiar, and acts awkward around her.

As time passes she notice that he does not leave. Additionally, he buys food every now and again showing that he is living in the room.

We know that something has been happening to her lately, and Jay has been acting suspicious. She may view him as a possible lead. Hence why she may have been waiting for Jay.

Also, she did *apparently* have to go to work the second Jay got there. Sure its great and suspicious timing, but if I had to go to work, and I got a call just as I shut my door, I'd wait there to take it.
On the other hand, she could have gotten a call telling her to go somewhere RIGHT NOW and so she was continuing the call outside after getting what she needed to go out, because she also was planning to wait for Jay already. So after she got the interrogation done, she ran off to whatever she got called about?
Meh, it's likely that we'll have to do a bit of handwaving with the timing as for the plot, it just had to happen like that else nothing would get moving. Same reasoning for Jay always going back to the scene of the crime. If they don't do things like that, nothing will happen.

Look for "Jessica" on Twitter? There can't be more than like, ten people with that name, right? I'm just saying we would need other qualifiers before we could do that effectively.

Also, regarding the phone call, I like the theory that Jess views Jay as a lead, because I think that she's been acting like it. I also think that it's good because then she'll have to confront him soon. And I like confrontation in stories. Joy!
