Remember back in season 1, the final tape from Alex's initial investigation? Talking about how "Jay's gone"?

Maybe Jay got killed and brought back by the Operator, which is why he's not been able to remember a lot of the stuff that happened on the MH shoot.

The people the Operator brings back might not be outright slaves - which could explain why Tim and the Gimp fled when (we assume) the Operator showed up off-camera in Entry 45. But as I've said before, I'm not 100% convinced those two weren't pretending to try and kill Alex on the Operator's orders in order to try and make him even more paranoid (so he'd be more likely to flip out and kill someone).


It's like what M. Night Shyamalan would do if he wrote Marble Hornets. Jay was dead the whole time!

But all joking aside, this wouldn't be a half-bad twist to have. Give The Operator some necromantic powers and maybe have Jay be a sort of sleeper agent.

 		Missing person?
Probably won't get a response, or maybe someone already tried it, but I did notice that Jay had said on the twitter that he can't find a record of the missing person in the area. I just sent a tweet suggesting that he check for missing persons in his hometown, that maybe it was someone who followed him and Alex to Rosswood. Just a thought.

Another thought I just had, haven't tweeted, is there any chance we could be WAY off base on the timeperiod? That's the other thing he qualifies his checking with - time and place. If it isn't place as I have suggested, could it be a different time? I think that one's a long shot though.

Widen search criteria? (lol, I am actually working from home and happen to be writing a new search right now and this came to me.)

EDIT: on widening search criteria. We are assuming Bruce/The Dude to be missing or dead. What if he showed up some time later, injured or unconscious or without memory? Could he be in a hospital/mental institution, recovering? Then he wouldn't be missing, if he had ID on him. Maybe he was teleported back to Rosswood and that's how the white shirt got back for 29?

In the entry where Jay first tried to open the hotel safe (Entry #28, I think), one of the combinations he tried was 1985. This seems likely to be Jay's birthyear. 2011-1985=26, so he's most likely 26 years old.

Jay started going through the Marble Hornets raw footage in 2009; 2009-1985=24. That would make him 24 years old when he started going through the footage.

In the picture, there are 23 tick marks, followed by an Operator symbol. This represents Jay's 23 normal years of life before he got into the whole Operator business.

I was just asking a genuine question. I can't remember ever seeing Brian. I remember Tim, some girl and Seth from back in the first season. If we have seen Brian, fair enough and no one has made the connection because it isn't there. I just thought it could be Brian, is all.

How do you even search for missing persons? Isn't that something where unless there was a news story or newspaper article about it, you'd have to go asking the police? If jay is asking the police wouldn't they kind of ask him why? God forbid they ask him what he's been doing for the past who-knows-how-long.
If not, I wanna see this websearching he's doing, even my google fu isn't that good. Laughing Wink
