Don't throw in the towel before you've even seen it. You shouldn't rely on what looks to be like, a 50 character message, to tell you that the next entry will be a disappointment.

Maybe it will be more "filler," (Though 57 didn't tell us that much I still thought it was one hell of an entry) but it's still VERY possible that we'll get something tasty. It might not even be action - but a dialog entry with pertinent, new plot information would still be great right?

If 58 comes out and it does indeed turn out to be another "pointless" entry in the majority's eyes... I don't know, I just don't see it happening.

Eh, what's the worst that could happen if it does turn out to be filler? It would be pretty disappointing, sure, but we'd be once step closer to the end regardless. Plus I doubt anyone who's stayed on this long would quit now.

57 was unecessary. Good, but unecessary. Either cut 57 or edit 56 and 57 down into one entry. The problem with this season is the rush job their doing. SLOW DOWN. I'm fine with one quality entry plus maybe a TTA every three weeks (or even every month.) What I'm not fine with is trying to cram a substandard entry in every 1.5 weeks just to please a few impatient idiots. Please, please, PLEASE don't release it until its finished!

I blame the poor quality of this season on their accelerated schedule. Churning out entries every other week isn't worth it if its filler. Quality is better than quantity.

I highly doubt that they're just makin' Entries every two weeks without being conscious of how much they need to advance the story.

Season 1 and 2 were 26 entries each. I assume that Season 3 will be the same and will conclude with Entry #78, maybe followed with a "Conclusion" entry.

They can't just chug out Entries for their own convenience, because they only have 26 entries to reach the end of the story. They have to have it all planned out. Maybe there's a couple entries here and there that they'll tweak (i.e. they might cut out the second half of one entry and stick it on the beginning of the next one), but all in all, they know where they're taking the story.

Also, Entry #58 will be the 6th entry of the season. In Season 2, Entry #32 was the 6th entry. Jay and Jessica were still derping around at the hotel at that point.

Why does everyone keep calling it filler? This isn't like Dragonball Z or Naruto. I haven't seen any entries so far that don't advance the plot in some way, or provided needed character development.

Regarding filler claims, remember that in a faux-reality series, filler as we tend to call it WILL happen, because real life is FULL of filler. How many days of your life, if your life was a TV show, would you call filler or non-filler? 90% of our lives are filler, so pseudo-reality shows can suffer the same problem.

Exactly. Jay's conducting an investigation, and while he does post things he feels are relevant, they're not all going to be game-changers.

I will admit that I only call things filler because I expect every entry to be entry 43/45 quality

Simply put, the operator in MH just doesn't creep me out anymore. He comes off as harmless other than the fact that he teleports people to somewhere else. This is mainly due to his lack of movement, he's starting to feel like Alex's puppet instead of the other way around. The most recent TT entry had me shitting bricks though.

Although the most recent MH entry was pretty creepy, would have been creepier if the operator slowly made his way towards tim from the hallway nearby instead of just flashing on camera for a millisecond like he always does. At some point they have to break that routine

Doesn't mean I don't enjoy new entries (although i actually did dislike entry 56, just was kinda boring), I just hold them to a higher standard than I probably should

To those asking, I'm okay. Just been feeling very sick since getting back from that place.

Maybe Tim and jay had an operator encounter and and had their memories wiped (again).

He lifted Jay into the air and slammed his head against a wall, knocking seven months worth of memory out of his head, and his presence causes debilitating illness. Granted it doesn't creep me out so much anymore either, but not because I don't percieve it as threatening, but because I kinda had to desensitize myself to it in order to sleep and walk through dark areas XD

As for Jay's tweet, it doesn't really mean nothing happened. I mean what he said in response to watching Alex try to kill him was just "Going somewhere I never thought I'd go back to". Something big may still have happened, and he's just content with letting us find out via the footage.

Not to mention if something HUGE, MAJOR did happen, no way would Troy reveal it anywhere but the entry itself.

Also, am I the only one who really doesn't care if the Operator, or the series in general is scary at all anymore? (This goes for all the Slenderseries and even the horror genre in general). Maybe it's the 'writer/Literature-Obsessive' in me, but all that is secondary to the mystery and plot to me.

Might I bring up something I had posted earlier?
"While Jay may not have noticed anything, who's to say Alex didn't follow Jay home masky-style and now knows where he lives?", or something along those lines.

Thing is, this would only indicate that Jay didn't notice anything. Any number of things could've happened in the background.

And yeah Blinux, the mystery is what keeps me around too. TTA isn't the only one who wants Jay to lead him to the ark. Wink

Blinus* Razz

And indeed, it's not just TTA who wants Jay to lead them to the Ark... all the fans want him to do so too. Wink GET A MOVE ON, JAY!

Also, now may be a good time to reiterate my theory that during the shooting of Marble Hornets (As in Alex's crappy film) that Jay FOUND the Ark, but got memory wiped as to its location and purpose.

Troy and co. seem far too smart to rush into things just because of a few impatient assholes. I'm pretty sure they planned everything out during the break.

Nobody's questioning that. We're going based on the first 2 seasons having 26 entries, and implying that season 3 will too, which means we're already roughly 1/4 done with the season and nothing has really happened yet. Sure you can say "season 1 and 2 were like that" but that's just an excuse.

It's hard to get people into the series in the first place, most people give up after entry 9 or so. I had one friend stop watching at entry 49 and another stop at 54 (both knowing how many entries there currently were), and neither of them plan on going back to it, which is a shame considering how far they got. They both said that they could only be dragged on for so long without getting some kind of resolve, and that certain entries/plot arcs felt redundant or unnecessary. One friend really hated the explanation for the key, and I'm not going to disagree with him, it was lazy writing. I personally liked most of season 2 though.
