 		I actually checked it out the other day, the last Season 2 totheark video was in very late September, and Jay saw Tim walking down the street in early November. The last totheark video had Masky actually in it, so I suspect Tim de-maskified sometime around October.

Maybe, maybe not. We don't actually know everything that Totheark does & does not do. We've already seen that the Totheark that watches Jay & the Totheark that harrasses him in abandoned buildings aren't necessarily the same person. Before the Hoody reveal, there wasn't anything that strictly couldn't be done by just 1 person.

Does one of them take time out to edit videos, or do they send them to a third? What about when Totheark has to send something through mail? Does Totheark track Alex & Jay simultaneously?

Complicating the question, Masky seemed to make use of teleportation back in Season 1, but hasn't done so since.

In-context or out-of-context? I gave you a possible in-context reason. An out-of-context reason would be just to make it more complicated. Marble Hornets could be a lot more straightforward, but people like it presumably because it is not.

Totheark would only realize this after they'd already started their whole set-up. Plus, it's not unheard of for Jay to just abruptly switch tactics. I didn't expect him to bring a knife with him when he was on his Happy Hike With Alex, for all of the good that did him.

Speaking of unexpected, there is the fact that Masky may have stopped working with them. It would be easier to deal with this if they had a reserve member.

 		Since Tim seems to have left, we haven't seen any point of view (footage-wise) from a Totheark video but Hoody's (as far as non-Entry footage goes). It still comes down to this third member sitting on their ass until someone comes to him with footage to edit. Either that, or they're doing something without showing it to us, and so it's just a matter of speculation as to whether or not such a thing exists (again, as far as I can tell).

My point is simply that there is no solid evidence I can think of pointing to three people. Sure, you can explain the series with three people. But I can explain it with two, and have evidence for it too. Yes, it's fully possible that Totheark is composed of more people than just the two I can find evidence for. With what we have now, do I think it's probable? No. 'S'all I'm saying.

There are the questions the fanbase brings up, and then there's the questions that MH lends to you. MH has given us the question: how are Hoody, Tim, and Totheark related, if there is a relation at all? How does this relate to the possibility of multiple Totheark users? That's what I'm answering.

The fanbase question is "What if there are three members?" That's speculative. (Emphasis on the fact that I'm only saying this because I haven't seen actual proof/necessity for three members with everything I've read so far. If you prove me wrong, then I'll totally change my mind, but otherwise, I don't see a need to accommodate the possibility of three Tothearks.)

I'm saying that Totheark doesn't have a visible present need to pretend he has more or less people than he does, except to make things more difficult overall. And this is just my opinion, but I think MH is somewhat straightforward. It's just also mystery-driven at the same time (which sounds contradictory, but there's always evidence or foreshadowing of any major twists).

Jay bringing a knife isn't new. He did it in #18, he did it again in #52. TTA can pretty easily predict Jay's tactics. As shown by him preempting Jay every step of the way.

The question we should be asking ourselves is: "Why does Jay continue to rely on knives?" Rolling Eyes

He's a pretty realistic character, and I'm pretty sure that he'd be unwilling to actually kill someone. Even after all this, he's probably still worried about the moral and legal repercussions of murder.

I feel like it's probably pretty obvious to them all that it wouldn't work, given the fact that the Operator just teleports in and out of rooms all the time. You wouldn't get much effect from shooting slendy, but you would attract attention from the police if you shot a hole in a hotel room wall. Either that, or worse, you could provoke him. The last time Jay tried to (possibly) attack the Operator, he got a 7 month brain wipe as a reward. He could probably do worse if he was really mad.
