Seriously though, I think the "S" could be a backwards question mark or a number "5" or even a "C" that has a tail. If it even means anything...

 		I've thought more about it and the implication that TTA has no new footage of Jessica doesn't necessarily mean she's not with them. Tim's alternate personality is insistent on keeping his mask on, even after his identity's been revealed and there's no longer any point in hiding it. Hoody might be the same. Even if Hoody's going to show their face in the video, they're not going to take the mask off, as they appear to see it as that personality's face that should not be taken off. Either way, they don't want Jay to know where Jessica is. If Jessica is part of TTA, why would they? As has been pointed out, Jessica is Jay's sole/main motivation for going after The Operator. If Jay found out TTA might know where she is, he'd most likely not go after The Operator any more, at least not until he's got what he wanted to know from TTA.

Also, I strongly doubt the "S" is meaningless. Although I'm not sure what it means. If Jessica isn't part of TTA, then I do think Sarah/Seth/both are.

I like to think that totheark is psychotic and that the symbols, codes, and other imagery all make perfect sense to him (or her) but would mean nothing to anyone else.

Please tell me I'm not alone in seeing this "S" nonsense as a pointless witch-hunt.

I've seen only three pictures, all from the latest TTA, with one picture very prominently showing the "S" - and in all three pictures it looks like a smudge/scratch/etc on the TV. It looks so much like nothing to me, it looks like less than nothing. If this "S" actually turns out to be anything, I'll pay every user on unfiction a dollar a year for the rest of my life.

I'm sure part of the reason is because we still have no clue to what it means, or why it was there in the first place, and it hasn't shown up very much or recently.

Pretty much. At the very most the entire ordeal feels to me like, "Let's throw that "S" in there and make a connection to an older video." After all, isn't Surveillance almost entirely old footage? I don't see any speculation over other older clips.

I agree. Looking at it closely tells me that it could be a coincidental pattern in the light/shadow pattern from the reflection of the trees.

I agree. Looking at it closely tells me that it could be a coincidental pattern in the light/shadow pattern from the reflection of the trees.

Yeah. And as I alluded to, in the Surveillance thread, it doesn't even have to be an "S"; it looks like it could be a number if things (if it was supposed to be anything at all). Best explanation is that it was just an unintentional...thing...

 		Oh, well, that's a different thing. I thought you were saying that the S is totally meaningless in every context. Yeah, it's not very clear in Surveillance, if it's even there to begin with.
