As well as the complete translation of the Voynich manuscript, the answer to what really happened at Hanging Rock, and how the hell Sherlock faked his own death.

First one I'd say is an honest mistake anyone could make in the heat of the moment. Second one is nullified by the fact that Jay actually did find something while Alex was taking out the trash (the tape), and as for the third, I chalk that up to another of Jay's calculated risks. He probably didn't have much confidence that Alex would actually show, so he took the initiative. Not like he didn't realize he was walking into woods he'd never been in, but after months of being strung along by Alex, no surprise that he'd strike out on his own if he thought he was being pointed in the right direction. That's how I see those, anyway.

I really hope Jay doesn't solve this puzzle no one on here could so far. That would be by far the silliest thing to happen in the entire series, considering he hasn't exactly been portrayed as a super genius.

Tim solving it would also be dumb. At least, it would be dumb while he's supposedly so busy that he can't spare any time to go with Jay to the hospital.
I think this Tweet sequence was meant more as a hint to get us back on the right track.

Also,
What happened on every cancelled show that shouldn't have ended (Firefly, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, My So Called Life)
A time machine
What happens to socks in the dryer
A guide to the opposite sex

And

The Question that gives the answer to the meaning of everything, which is 42.

I just think there could be more parts "calculated" & less part "risk." Use a knife to mark the trees you pass. Watch Alex for a pattern, maybe raid his house when he leaves for work.

Granted, whenever Jay does plan, it typically doesn't do shit for him.

Alex: "You brought a knife for self defense? Lol, that's cute."

It could be Jay posting in his "fugue state" again; assuming that ever was the case.
Or, yeah, it's probably totheark using Jay's account again.

Perhaps it will also give us a way to stop people misquoting Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
