Anyone ever ask Jay how many tapes he got that he thinks might be salvageable?

I ask, because the phrasing of the tweet makes it sound like there's more.

I thought there was at least half a dozen tapes, with only 2 that might work, meaning two tapes that will work and maybe one more

I was under the assumption only two would work based on what we saw. The rest looked melted enough where they wouldn't even be close to salvageable. I'm leaning towards they saw this as an easy way to possibly squeak out another past footage entry after 71 without having to find more tapes (something I appreciate, as the "finding tapes" thing has really overstayed it's welcome)

In Entry #69, they pull out several tapes, but only for 2 do they specifically express that it looks like it might still work. None of the other tapes that we see clearly look to be in good enough condition to work, but you never know. They haven't explicitly stated that only 2 of the tapes were salvageable.

I just rewatched the last bit of Entry #69 and it looks like Jay may have pulled third playable tape out at the end, maybe, if we're lucky.

68 was presumably uploaded by TTA, so I'm guessing after these tapes we will get a TTA vid filling in the missing parts.

If Marble Hornets released a bunch of entries close together, the quality of the videos would suck. Season 1's entries may have been short, but they were great, due to the fact that they were very short compared to the newer entries. They were able to do that back then, but now they can't. There is too much to shoot. So let's stop pressuring them to get the videos out quickly. K thx
