Well, I'd say, they wouldn't be able to show the dark side of the movie in prime time, when children are also watching SuperBowl.

Actually, I'm sure, even if the movie would be Spielberg-alike ET-esque (Family movie?), but this ARG is pretty dark and JJ Abrams-esque.

Perhaps these are people, who causes destruction. This were a very typical message by Spielberg. And JJ Abrams also: Cloverfield was actually a story about a mother looking for her baby, but the problem was: both were huge monsters, and people didn't liked it...
