have you tried the link on the left side of the reply form where it says "Add an Attachment"? You'll have to offload the file from your email to a local folder first.
Could you also tease us just a *bit* more, with any info at all from the email, such as who sent it and what the subject line was?
p.s., I would probably never open an attachment in an email myself if i didn't know who sent it, but hopefully it's just a .mp3 or plain audio format unlikely to be, oh i don't know, a virus?

Adding it as an attachment should work. However, if you can't do that can you describe it - a lot of people have been recieving audio during The Sound Guy ARG: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30903 . So it might be involved with that, I think the PM is trying to get more people involved in the ARG - so he may be widening his net and sending out audio to new people.

I tried sending it as an attachment, but when I pressed submit, it would start loading, but nothing happened.

This would help us to at least narrow down to which ARG it applies.

Okay. I already copied and pasted the message that I was given.

To whoever gets this message, listen to me. I don't have much time before they realize I'm gone. Now, before I begin, I want you to know that whatever I say or do next, you'll have to trust me. Listen to the audio I put in the E-mail.
I put the audio on mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/?8g5spbldfwdv1p3

Ok, I downloaded it and listened. Its the Lavender Town theme. Theres a creepypasta written about it which says that it was included in the original Pokemon game and when you reached Lavender town this song would play - the story goes that kids in Japan kept committing suicide and each one would have a save game just sitting in the middle of Lavender Town. I'll try to find it.
Here we go:

I'm afraid theres no ARG here, just some guy hoping to mess with you.
Personally, I'm rocking out to it!
[EDIT]Scratch that, something else has started! I'll report back when I'm done listening.

No, this sounds different than that. For starters, who is the guy whose voice suddenly cuts into the Lavender town music? And who is the 'they' he keeps refering to.

Yeah sorry, I figured it was Lavender through and through.
However, having listened from start to finish unless we get some more leads - I'm not sure how much further we can go. I've just downloaded Audacity - there is something low in the background, I'll see if I can pick it out.

Other than the male voice giving a warning I'm not picking up anything else.

I thought I'd mess with it in Audacity real quick and see if there was anything hidden underneath the music. I found some low 'pulses' that play once the music starts up. First I wasn't sure if it was just a byproduct of what was left over from the audio, but after the voice cuts out they get progressively quicker/more frequent so I have to say its probably man-made and not there in the original.
If that was added, I'm still not sure what to do with it. This doesn't seem to lead anywhere.

In that case, we'll have to wait and see.
