Unfortunately I will have to be removed from the list due to unexpected financial reasons. I'm super bummed about it, but I hope that my spot can be replaced. Thank you!

Updates for everyone 2 open spots. So the last thing I am waiting on is the quote from Steve's guy on the cost of each disc in plastic for the disc and the rings.
I have gotten a great price on the lights. The lights alone cost me about $1400 and on top of all the parts each one should still be about $175 but these are at bone cost.
This is the deal. I am ordering the lights from China and their new year is from January 20th to February 15th.
Now I would ideally like to order the lights on the 18th because it is going to take about 3 weeks for them to get here.
So everyone that is on the list, please let me know if you can pay the $175 by that time.
I have calculated shipping and it will be $25 in the US and if you live out of country just tell me where and I will give you an exact quote from the USPS.
I will be shipping these in a box withing a box.
These will not include a COA but the shipping price will include a 11x11x2 inch box with a sticker on it. And the box will be numbered.
So if you guys can't do this, it is not a big deal, I can wait til Feb. 15th to make the order and would have the lights in by March 1st or so.
But ideally I would like to place the order by the 18th of this month, that way the discs would probably be ready to ship by the end of Feb.
So there are two open spots now, I am going to pm EVERYONE this information.
Let me know.

pictures I am trying to get this to export to get a quote on CNC but I just can't do it for some reason. If anyone can successfully take this .obj file and convert it to step or dxf for me I would be much obliged.
But for now I am waiting for a quote on the 3d printing from Steve's guy.
I had to make this to where the lights would fit. The innermost circle is a little bigger than it normally is so it can accompany all the lights.
But tell me if this is satisfactory.

redesign I am going to redesign this one more time so that it looks more accurate but I also need to keep in mind that each cavity needs to be able to hold both sets of lights.
I will post tomorrow.

If the smc strips aren't too wide, you could essentially paste them "back-to-back" and insert into the grooves where all of the combined strips are oriented (by color); Either
(for lack of better terms) proximal or distal
axial or abaxial to the center, based on color. i.e. All red leds point toward the center while all blue leds face the rim. That would make construction a no-brainer. The only down sides are the possible needed thickness of the disk, overall and that, depending on which color is active, either the center circle or the outermost part of the rim will be a bit dimmer than the rest of the disk.
Alternatively, you could drill "shine through" holes in one of the strips and stack them so the light all goes one direction regardless of which strip is powered-up.
Or... Are you getting the fancy, clear, "scotch-tape-looking" version of the strips which make all of the above null and void.? I wouldn't think so at your price point.

I am seeing way too much blue there and not enough white. Ring placement just seems "off". I'm kinda looking for something that looks like the disc design in my profile pic.

That is what I am working on now. There are two versions of the disc that were thrown, the one in your pic, and there was one more that was also used to throw into the mcp.
I am just doing, one of those two versions, I am working on another model in 3d which is more accurate and I will post them soon.

Those look pretty damn awesome! I wish I didn't write myself off the list because I think I could save the amount before the due date.
If we get te non lot version, can there be a tutorial on wiring it up? As much as I say I would like to wire a non lit one up, I'd probably end up electrocuting myself into a blazing ball of light that dissipates before being derezzed.

"Conan, what is best in life?"
"To win ARG swag contests, burst into a ball of light while wiring up a Tron identity disc... and hear the lamentation of the women!"
"That is good! Nerdy, but good."
