collecting. the machines cant handle dishing out too many coins at one time. planning on going this weekend for more.
Not that I am involved in this...but seriously...Disney should just sell you a large lot of them at one time...it seems it would benefit them more to get you all the tokens you want, rather then have you drain the machines. *shakes head* maybe they underestimate Tron fans? lol. Although...let me know when they start using the silver tokens, I would like a few of them as well...maybe even a few more of the current tokens.
i tried. the thing is that the tokens "are ment for guests visiting the arcade" and there fore they will not release any other than through the machines.

Well if you think about it they make more money that way. Yeah they could make some money selling them to outside people but this way they get visitors and the revenue from park entry sales which is way more than our coin buying would get them

Eh...still....I'll mark this up to them underestimating the fandom of Tron, lol.

Neat, I will need to go back and get some silver tokens then.
Supposedly, this is rumor so I don't even trust it, Daft Punk will be performing the final night of ElecTronica. I seriously doubt it myself since this rumor was flying about OC when they started doing the event. Disney even had to go to the press and say they wouldn't be performing.

Jesus, now it's just getting silly how long they keep the event going. It must be good for business though. The one nice thing is that it helps cover up all the construction since a huge chunk of DCA is torn up.

I think I read on Miceage that after spring next year, they will kill it and change it into a mad tea party theme. I believe I read it does several hundred thousand dollars a night just in drinks...I take it that Disney must be making healthy profit. By the way...I never got any of those silver tokens or the special token that was being given out by some website. Does anyone have either of those available?

Several hundred would be impossible (if I recall the price that would mean they would be serving almost 100k drinks and everyone would be dead from alcohol overdoses ) But it is for sure no surprise that they do a killing since the concessions sell really well and since it's that awful premix they don't have to worry about bartenders or heavy pours.

Are they the silver tokens? I haven't gotten any of those yet and would like some.
Even if not I'd sill like to get a few more. I'm going to give away the handful I have left at Dragon*Con this weekend. (It's such a fun moment when someone notices my "Flynn's" shirt and then I toss them a token.)
