Ninja'd on my response to qaqa, but I'll keep this bit:

A couple of people have mentioned that the Mining Town Four would've been our Hybrids' age when the 1981 letter was written. I'd been of the impression that they were preschoolers when the 1971 reports were written, putting them in their early teens in 1981. Is there some reason to believe they were older?

I will accept that the "slasher movie" interpretation is correct. Mostly because I have less then perfect hearing, and English isn't a first language for me. I must ask, are there any dissenting voices? Does anyone hear anything other?

Given that, what does that tell us about the video? That Greenfeathers is dead? That his home has been invaded?

Actually, I seem to remember the box heavily freaking out his wife, and odd occurrences following him afterward. Has this been a months long set-up, then?

What does the connection between the children's home fire and Jeff's memory do to the recurrence theory? What if events are repeating?

Also, a observation. 1971 and 1981 are important years, correct? 1991 is supposed to be the birth year for Vince and Jeff. EMH is likely to have either the endgame or, at least, important developments in 2011. The question is, did something interesting happen in 2001? The school fire, perhaps?

Yeah, that was Warhorse. I believe GreenFeathers said he was around the guy's age, so a bit too young to be married.

...But anyway. I'm unsurprised if this is IG- he's had communication with the guys and we haven't heard every little detail from it. They could have talked to him OOG. In fact, it's possible the meet-up was to in fact secure side players in their game- along with the Trials, amp up it seeming like an actual ARG by having people who had just shown up as fans become a part of it. They had only one guy come, but still that's enough to get us talking.

Well. If it's IG, they did sorta spring that meetup on us pretty quickly. I think they knew/banking on few people to show up. So (again, if this is IG) they probably already had GF setup as a player or appoached him at that point to be a player.

I must say though, it'd be pretty awesome if weird shit started happening to everyone who has had interaction with the players.
