Honestly, I don't think there is much in the way of a grounded, tech-based explanation for the hidden videos or the boys' inability to view them. I lean towards this being very simple and perhaps mystical - HABIT or SM himself uploaded them, or perhaps psychically imbued the footage onto the Net in the manner of Sadako's/Samara's "cursed video" in the Ring horror films, which was projected into a physical medium. As for why the EMH kids can't view them, they're not meant to so something stops it. Or their unconscious prohibits it. Or both. That's all there is IMO.

We're dealing with at least one antagonist who can warp space. Who knows what else he can do.

Heh, how very like HABIT to be so vain and take credit for a revolution. 10 bucks on him being the reason Louis XVI got beheaded.

I wonder if he is also responsible for The Social Network winning Best Picture.

I was going to make an extremely tasteless joke about the Twilight Zone: The Movie on-set disaster here, but I guess that doesn't fit with HABIT's profile thus far.

Okay guys. Remember that argument a while ago about HABIT, Jeff and Jessa? I got a straight answer out of HABIT.

I hope this helps.

So...HABIT's taking responsibility for Egypt?

...I just don't get it.

HABIT is Jesse Eisenberg.
Suddenly everything ever makes sense.

He's doing what he always does, taking credit for human strife across the globe and across history. I remain somewhat unconvinced which is why I tried to talk to him. Maybe he responds best to goading.

Well, HABIT has always made it a point to show off that he's rather omnipotent (uhm, I'm sure there's a better word) and isn't restricted to a single host body. For example, when he was in Spain, if I recall correctly.

Maybe, he's pissed because they weren't violent? That would work, with him, right?

That's exactly it. He says the Egyptian people were weak for not being spurred to violence. Yet he also says the point of the trials is to dehumanize us and prove that we are weak - and surely the trials will get more and unpleasant in order to drive this point home.

IMO what HABIT is really trying to do with the trials and all his big talk on Twitter is validate his own existence. That's not a new concept with these sort of demonic tropes in literature, etc. Deep down, maybe he's still just a very emo orphan with delusions of grandeur.

I'm wondering this a lot too. He seems to reference travel a lot lately(maybe not lately, but in his email correspondences). It makes me wonder if we really are off base with the inHABITation stuff. Not that we can assume the efficiency of how a being like that might travel...

There are three options that I can see immediately.

1. He is exactly what he says he is, a powerful entity traveling across multiple hosts, spans the course of human history and suffering, and well pre-dates any or all Evans. Exorcist, Pazuzu, etc etc.

2. He is some kind of outgrowth of Evan's very human multiple personality disorder, either in the '70s or today or both depending on what the deal is with the kids. He is either simply delusional and bragging about his prowess from within the confines of Evan's psyche, or he has gone viral and can infect multiple hosts. But despite these abilities he is not a globe-trotting, time-jumping being of legend as he claims and as Option 1 would purport.

3. He is a middle-aged Fairmount Evan lurking about with MPD, delusional and spouting off about bullshit while accomplishing very little.

The trick is finding out which option is closest to the truth. But we know Fairmount Evan's mother named him "HABIT." That is not something HABIT has ever been pressed on - yet.
