You know, I do believe that the Rake has a limited ability for speech- limited but speech none the less. Still, I don't think he was saying "your brother" in "Alex", I think it was either (someone suggested and I agree a little) "I AM HERE", or, his more generally accepted repeat of "HABIT HABIT"...

 		In the first video Alex took of his closet, wasn't there a voice saying "your brother your brother" that could be heard very faintly?

it sounds like "I AM HERE" to me. but how that can be confused for "your brother" is beyond me.

It could very well be nothing at all as well. I was of the "it can't speak" party for a long time, but I admit that it does sort of sound like "HABIT" at times.

The rake's growls could be heard faintly, but whether he's saying anything is up to the listener to assume, at least until we hear him canonically speak.

At the very least, the Rake growls multisyllabically in the Alex video. It sounds like an attempt at speech, although your guess is as good as mine on what it's saying.

 		I think it's an interesting thought whether rake can speak or not. I think that the growling sometimes sounds like a voice is there somewhere but at other times it just sounds like breathy growling. I think until we have a confirmed moment of speaking we might be lacking on a definitive answer on that. We wait and we see.

IT USES THE EMH WIKI OR ELSE IT GETS THE HOSE AGAIN!!!!!!!

As I said, it's in Alex-can't-sleep-cuz-uf-Sparky-video, NOT in the "Alex"-video.

In the first video mentioned, you can even hear Jessa say "Let me out! Help!!"

But seriously, it sounds to me like the Rake talks -- right after Evan closes the closet and is all "derp nothing there" and the Rake goes "I AM HERE"

At least

that's what it sounds like to me
