I'm going to assume there are four pieces, just by the way the paper is split up. As to the other two questions, I have no idea.

I assume two more pieces as well. There are two more Trial winners to be announced before the Big Ultimate Round Seven Showdown, aren't there? The winners of Round Two and the (presumably upcoming) Round Three? Maybe they'll get the remaining fragments.

This does seem to be the most likely situation.

It occurs to me that prizes for the winners of Round Two, Round Three, and the Ultimate Trials Champeen could also account for boxes 5/7 through 7/7, if that's the way they're going.

Come on! The moment a lab server's HDD self-destructs messily at work, cool stuff happens here. This is just grossly unfair.

Anyway. Speculation time!

@re: paper size

Measure the piece you got. Then compare it to the known dimensions of paper sizes. It looks printed and the edges are machine cut by the looks of it. That means a store bought variety. My guess is that it's going to fit either an A4 or a US letter sized piece of paper.

Given the size and disposition of the pieces we've seen I'm guessing we have two quarters.

@re: twitchy trees

I have zero to none actual evidence for this, but it does seem at least mildly diverting:

There is something that Slenderman wants. The treasure, or possibly the Ark.[1] He is apparently unable to acquire this by regular means, and needs tools. The Fairmount Four are created for this purpose, possibly over and over again, which explains the timeslip/reincarnation problem. As a wild(er) guess, I'd say children figure in this plan prominently -- possibly when people grow older they can no longer do what Slenderman requires. This may explain why the Fairmount Four were scrubbed(?) and replaced with the modern hybrids.

@re: speculation on paper contents

Shade's password to the...ARK perhaps? It has been mentioned, and it wouldn't help us any if it did turn out to be the case. The sentence doesn't mean much in that form.

@re: Bible verses

I leafed trough the KJV looking for the obvious keywords that might be interesting. The bible is curiously light on 'slender' and 'rake' and 'habit' but I did get a hit of 'shade'. To wit:

Quote:

Psalm 121:4-6 (King James Version)
4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Does it mean something? I doubt it, but I someone way cleverer may figure something out I missed. I reckon that Fairmount!Vince's propensity for the scripture is a result of his close, uh, association with the Reverend.

Finally, much thanks to TheNightmareComplex for timely info. Very rabbity of you. Smile

[1] We've had a lot less Ark-symbolism than MH[2], but even if we disregard the videos of dubious canonicity we have the distortion in Jeff's musical montage video which makes 'dark' sound like 'ark', as well as Steph's persistent flood symbolism.
[2] Which has gotten seriously awesome as of late, give it a look if you've stopped watching.

If the next word in the quadrant paper clue is indeed "ARK," it'd be on Q3 [bottom left].

As for the scrap I got, it is indeed a fourth of an A4 sheet of paper. At least, that's my guess. There's a possibility that it is shorter in length, but the corner fits well enough. No accurate measurement is possible with only one piece.

Yeah, MH has really picked up and helped with the slack for the last week or two. MH and EMH are very different animals IMHO, but a fascinating example of the type of different permutations you can get from a single shared, user-driven concept. I've been out of school a couple years but I'm sure there's a paper in that somewhere.

Oh man, I'm late on finding out about this! First, that is a sweet hat, oh man I am jealous. The letter seems to confirm what we already thought about what happened in "The Hidden Videos" and probably to introduce a new location.

I kind of miss the cached boxes now. I'll never get the chance to look for one again if the rest of the boxes go to the round winners. I don't have much to add to the speculation right now, but it's good to see something happening again.

I believe, from holding the box myself and feeling the different types of lines, that a great deal of the slashes and cuts were made by a knife, the "straight" lines.

There are lots of jagged lines and puncture wounds that appear to be curved in shape and bevel, suggesting claws or teeth.

maybe the claw or teeth marks are from our little friend The Rake?
just a suggestion.

Hello, there. I've been following EMH since around October, and I must confess I haven't read every single page, so the following speculation may have already been stated.

Seeing the EMH logo on box 4 and reading the content of the latest Corenthal letter triggered a thought for me. It has been clear for a while now that the four kids are linked together, and I wonder if that is symbolized in the logo: four arrows pointing toward a central focus. If so, perhaps the colors have significance as well, suggesting that the group is somehow divided into two pairs.

Nothing really earth-shattering, but I've always wondered what that symbol means - it doesn't have any clear link to fitness (as far as I can tell) or any obvious Slenderman ideas.

I endorse this line of speculation with all my might.

Oh my goodness.

Thoughts:

One, I am now very worried about Alex. They need to keep a close watch on that boy, if something happens to him I think Jeff is going to just shatter.

Two, Biblical verses... I'm starting to think that in this incarnation of the kids (I'm assuming they're a more recent incarnation of the Mining Town Four), the traits got moved around a bit. Here's what we have on the Corenthal kids:

Quote:
Evan: associated with photography, "acts out" when the children have one of their moodswings. (Maybe has violent relapses, like his behavior at the clinic?)

Jeffrey: described as a writer, shouts nonsense during the moodswings.

Vincent: described as a visual artist, quotes Bible verses.

Stephanie: described as a visual artist, deeply affected by the moodswings.

And today, we have...

Quote:
Evan: Associated with weapons/combat. Also cooking? (Remember that fitness series way back when?). The theme of violence has carried over, probably because of HABIT, but not the photography. Has been seen with a sketchbook in one of the hidden videos.

Jeffrey: Associations with photography/cameras. He was the cameraman originally.

Vincent: No strong artistic inclinations that we've seen.

Stephanie: Visual artist, quoted Bible passages relating to floods early in CYSTW.

It's like some of their traits got shifted around or something... I don't know.

Third, I think that we might want to try pointing them at Memory Lane. It's another specific location, and whenever they've checked out places like this, it's led to more information. They 1970's versions of themselves were brought there, presumably by Slenderman, for a reason. They should try to find out why.

Fourth, the note... one, I would like to respectfully point out that I totally called it, bitches, in regards to the contest winners getting the other three halves. Anyway. "Shade's password to the" most logically means "the password belonging to Shade is to the [whatever]..." So Shade's a person or thing, I like the idea of it being a ghost. Something to do with Ryan, perhaps? Or, and I'd really like to be wrong, Jessa?

Lots of new information, it'll be interesting to see what the gang does with it...

I sent an email to Jeff about Memorytown. But I'd expect that any reply will probably happen with TNC's email.

It is a rather impressive jib, something I'd definitely like to see more of.
