for the purpose of the original story, Conquest is a precursor to War. Pestilence precedes War in modern media, but this makes no sense, as Pestilence should be a product of War and Famine instead.

You could interpret the Lamb and the one who wrote Revelations as two more characters in the story, with the Angels being all of us Rabbits who looked upon the scene. Perhaps the Lamb is HABIT and the one who watched is some unwilling prophet.

Perhaps Alex's hat is his crown of thorns, presented at my feet?

nice theory but I kind of doubt it. I'll post my list of individuals listed (just from a quick glance)
-----------
John - prophet who wrote it down

24 elders and 4 beasts around the throne

the Lamb who was the only one worthy and took the book from the one on the throne and began to open its seals

the 4 horsemen -
white horse to conquer with a bow
red horse to take peace with a sword
black horse to weigh with scales
pale horse with death riding it with hell following

4 angels holding back the winds of the earth
5th angel with the seal of God
144,000 whom he sealed

seven angels with seven trumpets

another angel with a golden censer given incense to offer the prayers

another angel flying through the midst of heaven

Angel king of the bottomless pit (Abaddon/Apollyon)

A mighty Angel with a little book who declared time to be no longer

The two witnesses

the woman who gives birth to a 'man child' - caught up to God and his throne

Michael and his angels who battle the dragon

another beast who has names of blasphemy on his head

another beast exercising the power of the previous beast

another like the Son of man with a sharp sickle to reap the earth

Seven more angels, each carrying with them one of the seven last plagues

false prophet

seven kings

the beast who ascends from the bottomless pit (eighth king)
----------

so unless HABIT is the one with the book no one was worthy to take, kinda throws you theory out of the water Razz[/strike]

As for the names of the horsemen (except death)...those were all added later to help visualize them. It doesn't actually necessarily represent who they are or what they do.

And who would you propose had the book? I think it makes plenty of sense, so long as you view the book as another metaphorical object, just like the rest of this. Could also be a simple allusion to other in-game objects.

For instance,

The Bow becomes the Shotgun [Alex]
The Sword becomes the Knife [Evan]

So on and so forth. As for metaphorical imagery, the book could simply refer to HABIT's personal rulebook of these trials. Meanwhile, HABIT's tournament is just his way of lording over our unworth.

I'm not saying "This is the only thing that makes sense," it is simply the depositing of ideas. Sure you will not deny the posit of my de?

On the pairing theory:

This is a really interesting theory and, while I will say I'm skeptical that it has anything to do with the story ultimately (it's just the logo for God's sake), I do have a suggestion for those trying to figure out the pairings (if there be any such things).

We have a natural inclination to pair the Mining Town four with each other for obvious reasons, but put aside the thoughts on the Mining Town and consider the cast of characters as a whole. Thinking about it that way, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to suggest Evan/Steph as one pair and Jeff/Alex as the second, given that Jeff and Alex are brothers. This leaves Vince as the odd man out, a role he has really been filling lately due to his lessened presence on the screen. And it's interesting because, at the start of this video series, Vince was the host, the one in the center of all the attention. Now I'm sound like a "fourth Triforce piece" theorist. XD

Of course, getting rid of the Mining Town four pairing opens this up to several other options, but this one seems to me the most worthwhile at the moment.

I think Alex is HABIT. *shrug* He has delusions already, that we know. And apart form being Jeff's brother, why is he there? If he was inconsequential he could have been eliminated with the parents. I don't really have anything to back it up, but TNC did just receive what seems to be Alex's hat in the mail, and he would be in a position to know details of the Four.

We could also say, if the Rake is HABIT's pet as has been supposed, it wasn't actually attacking him those times, but coming to tell him about deeds done.

I'm going back to lurking now. Cheers.

Actually, I'm pretty convinced by this theory, but...perhaps Alex might be a red herring, using Alex as a possible scapegoat to throw EMH (although they don't seem too concerned with HABIT to begin with) and us off. Or hell - the hat could even be a clue of HABIT's next possible victim. If Rake really was reporting, er, its findings to Alex, provided that he's HABIT's current body of residence, it's a bit odd that he would attack his so-called "master".

I dunno, I'm stuck between Alex, Vinnie, and Evan being HABIT at this point.

You ever had a cat or a dog come up and put it's paw on you? I imagine if that paw is clawed, and those claws were not retractable (pure hypothesis) then it could leave scratches. Gashes. In your arm.

Guess I'll have to give you that, :p

Back to lurking shamelessly then.

I took TNC receiving Alex's hat just as a sign of "look, I have physical access to the guys". Whether or not it's via home intrusion, closetportation, or having the Rake fetch it ... who knows.

Alex COULD be HABIT, but I doubt he'd have entered the tournament and then dropped out so ... anticlimactically.

Plus HABIT said in his tweets that he was abroad, and as far as we know none of the guys have been missing for any extended period of time. I think that pretty concretely excludes any of them from being HABIT.
