Bad idea, I think. I mean, one of those two can kill us all with nary a thought and without a shred of mercy and the other is HABIT.

Seriously, though, I think that for now we wait. My interpretation of the video, on reflection, is this:

1. OOG they notice that we are restless. Big surprise. We're unfiction. We're always restless.

2. College is still trying to eat them alive.

3. As they work on a more substantial update, they toss a plot development
that was meant to be a part of that update into a separate video.

4. To make the video manageable in length they have angry!Evan interrupt it.

5. To make sure we realize Evan didn't go Mr. Knife on us all, he responds to a few emails which assure us that he's still sane. Mostly.

6. The EMH crew continues work on sanity-shattering update.

Reasoning using OOG knowledge about IG stuff is risky, especially as I refuse to peek into their personal accounts/blogs/&c. Still, I think that this makes sense.

Yush. Waiting is the name of the game, and even if it wasn't, provoking HABIT from Evan... still a considerably dangerous idea! No touchy.
I did worry that maybe we had missed something we were supposed to have figured out, but nah I'm pretty sure it's still just wait time. _{Doesn't mean I wont panic slightly here and there but that would mean the guys weren't doing as great of a job as they are, wouldn't it?} So while we're just sitting here pretending to be calm, speculation on what Slenderman is up to? He's been around lately but still pushed to the background. (Not that we want him in the foreground!)

Honestly, the brutal pace they were keeping not long ago was unsustainable, even for people who weren't in school and did not work - that was never going to go on forever. I could barely keep up at one point as a viewer so I welcomed the holiday break when that happened. I knew there would be some down time, and we've still gotten a more than fair amount of videos in the new year. So compared to some of the monster down time with the other Big 2, I'm really not feeling the strain yet of the last couple weeks. I think they have nothing to apologize for where that's concerned.

I think SM works best largely in the bg and on the periphery myself, and that EMH has become a bit more than just a series dealing with the SM meme. And I actually hated the idea that he himself was using the EMH twitter that one time. I mean, really, Slender Man on twitter? I think he works best as an alien void that does not speak in any form or language we can process.

Well, I thought he turned up on-camera not long ago. I can't recall where but honestly I've been so immersed in other aspects of the story that it's beside the point to me and that, I think, is a sign of the game's advantage over others - it's begun to take on its own levels and sub-levels. It's not Marble Hornets, it's actually significantly different and there's a lot more to be said about that eventually, it's sprawling and crazy, but it is something that works. Also I tend to like sprawling and crazy when one can pull it off. And so far they have, they appear to know what they're doing with it, and I did not expect that when I began viewing this series with an extreme degree of skepticism given my attachment to MH, a much colder, cleaner jewel of a story. But there's a time for something cold and there's a place for something more wild as well.

I did think that was Slendy's silhouette moving about in Hidden Videos. I guess that doesn't count as an appearance.

i'll have to go back and look. i'm not quite sure.
i like EMH for some of the craziness as well (though it admittedly confuses the hell out of me sometimes).
MH is losing me as a fan only because it's so cut and dry. everything's basically laid out for you leaving you with very few questions. I like having questions at the end of a video. makes me want more.
