I don't think the Buffy references are that far off, really.

I'm under the working theory now that present EMH gang are infact the Fairmount Four. In this theory, Slendy is responsible for inserting them into the present. He has already displayed his ability of altering things just enough to make them plausible(read: the security guard and breaking Steph out). Since we don't know exactly when they were reinserted, it's tough to break down some of the specifics...but the deal with Jeff and Alex's parents certainly falls in there.

As far as Alex, I don't know. If this theory is true, there's a reason he's there. But since he's not one of the four, I have to assume he's not terribly required

There's a lot of holes in there, though.

Yeah, I guess I was very vocal not long ago in suspecting the kids are one and the same, both in the '70s and today. Right now I'm not totally sure but still definitely leaning that way. But the variables - Linnie, Jessa, Alex - still need to be accounted for. If this is by Slendydesign and Alex is expendable, why is he there? Why add a brother?

I think if they jumped through time, HABIT jumped with them. The information we have (however unreliable) suggests he is native to Evan, or rather Fairmount Evan; a personality or entity that was first identified there. Corenthal claims Evan's mother created the name. If HABIT wants to prove he is anything other than a multiple personality gone wrong, he hasn't done it yet.

If Alex is set dressing, though, it doesn't make sense for the Rake to attack him. The Rake is at least working with SM if not a pawn therein. What I want to know is if Fairmount Jeffrey had any siblings.

And my theory on Linnie is shot to hell if the dead girl is her, which I initially suspected it was. The thing is, I am almost positive that Linnie in the '80s was given over to William and Rose and raised by them. So she would've aged. It all makes no sense - yet.

Tangent: Do we know whose house Evan was in during "R&TSTOH"? I guess we're supposed to assume that it's Evan's house, but for some odd reason...I always thought it was Chez Jeff.

edit: More tanget stuff. I'm trying to break down when Habit truly emerged for us. Ignoring the boxes, the first tweets are on 10/26. A couple of things happen around that time. 3 days earlier, the Ashen Waste video is posted(Unclear of when it took place, though). On the 26th, the 3rd box was found and Jeff tweeted that weird diagram.
Has anyone asked Jeff about the diagram? It seems like he knew stuff at the time he,as a character, should not have known.

Anywho, I wonder what prompted the start of thw tweets. Was it Habit being jarred loss by a Slendy beating, the box, or the diagram. Or did it just happen?

Those are very good questions. When did the "HABITHASBITME", etc. phantom tweets come? The "TILT" tweet? The "power struggle" conversation?

I also find it interesting that upon Evan suffering a physical trauma, HABIT emerges. You may be onto something there. Or we may be overthinking it.[/NO RLY??]

I still think the others are just as susceptible to HABIT as Evan, which the phantom tweets speaking of a plurality separate from HABIT suggest to me.

I don't think I can readily accept straight up that Evan=HABIT. It seems too obvious.

I can accept that Evan is sometimes crazy and that he is sometimes HABIT, but that HABIT is sometimes someone else too.

It's worth noting that in the "Slenderman" video...when Evan is having his conversation...there is are audible, but undiscernable replies. They sound an awful like the Rake. Take that as you will.

Long story short. More often than not, EVAN=HABIT seems like a red herring to me.

Blargh. You know, OOG Jeff could have done us a favor and let us know if the leaked videos were relevant or not. But since we have no confirmation, it means one of two things.

One- They are at least relevant to the game, if not canon

Two- He enjoys watching us squirm in out endless speculation

One day, qaqa, we'll crack this nut known as EMH with our rampant speculation. One day. We'll show him.

I rewatched the last UStream and I guess I owe them an apology for saying they glazed over my question about when Steph received that voicemail.

Jeff said it was early September...which is whereabouts of when Jessa was probably snatched/dispatched. Still odd that Steph would keep up the pretense of OMG FIND HER, considering how reserved and resigned-to-my-fate she tends to be regarding Slendy. Not that I expected her to email Jeff with a "OH HAI, BTW JESSA IS TOTALLY F********" message, but it's odd she'd go out of her way call out the PD in tweets when she knows they can't do anything.
