 		I don't ever post but I just wanted to add my interpretation for all the notes in the book. Sorry if the post is a bit long or innapropriate.

"THE VOYEUR SHALL WATCH FROM AN EMOTIONAL DISTANCE, INSISTING UPON MAINTAINING THEIR STRENGTH."
This just fits Vince to a T in my opinion.

"THE FIREBRAND SHALL DISREGARD OBVIOUS DANGER AND ASSUME THE ROLE OF FORCE"
Evan obviously. He has always been the most aggressive and confrontational of the group and seems to want to solve all this with his knife.

"THE GUARDIAN SHALL LOSE HIS HEART AND THEN HIS BLOOD AND FIGHT TO LOSE ALL HE LOVES"
Jeff. He has already lost Jessa and may soon loose Alex. It seems odd how it says fight TO lose all he loves.
Maybe it means that any resistance will cause him to lose more of those he cares about.

"THE VOYEUR SHALL REMAIN IDLE TO ALL WHO SEE, HOWEVER BUSY HE MAY BE BENEATH"
Vince doesn't do much but he is secretly doing something. Maybe he is the one acting as HABIT.

"THE FIREBRAND SHALL LEAD AN OFFENSE AS HE MIGHT, ONLY TO SUCCUMB TO THE WAR WITHIN"
Evan succumbs to either HABIT or just to plain good old-fashioned insanity.

"THE FIREBRAND SHALL DEFECT AND SELF-IMMOLATE, NO LONGER DEFINING THE TWO WITHIN"
This makes me think that Evan is consumed by and becomes HABIT. Habit is already sort of making him self immolate himself in the trials.

"THE GUARDIAN SHALL DEFY A GOD ONLY TO BE DEALT A FATAL BLOW"
Jeff defies the slenderman. Maybe he finds Jessa again and tries to fight slenderman to save her.

"THE VOYEUR SHALL SWALLOW JUSTICE'S SWORD"
Vince either does something wrong and pays for it or he must make sacrafice in the name of justice.

"THEIR WORLD SHALL PERISH"
Ominous.

"THEIR WORLD SHALL BURN"
Still ominous.

"YOU, TOO, ARE ON THIS SAME. SINKING. VESSEL."
This could refer to the people who are in the trials or to the planet as a whole. The references to floods makes me suspect the latter

"THE GREAT FLOOD SHALL WASH AWAY ALL THE ASH, READYING THE WORLD FOR ANOTHER GREATER, CYCLE"
I don't know, this cycle seems pretty great to me. My main question is what does the ash represent. Could it be the EMH crew or humanity as a whole. I suppose we will find out.

 		Okay, so I was gone pretty much all day, knew all this was going down, and fought every urge to check the thread on my iPhone the entire time. I think I can reward myself by posting now. (: THANK YOU SO MUCH, LBY!!!!! (I hadn't gotten a chance to say that yet.)

Anyways, the card descriptions are friggin' PERFECT; it amazes me how dead on they are, ravanjedi. I must say I'm pretty sold on lunaticfish's theory. My main concern is breaking the cycle, and I agree that the best way to go about that would be preventing the "Critical Action," as Mattwan put it.

I don't think this is cheesy at all. If anything, it's one of the more (if not most) solid plans we've got so far. You've done some serious thinking and come up with some amazing ideas, Mattwan!

As far as the rest of the evidence is concerned, dfw suggested on page 4 that the years of the cars could have some significance, and I think that's rather plausible. '71 is already significant since the Corenthal letter is dated that. Maybe there is some event we can assume happened in '67 that could add clarity to the situation? As far as the coins go, the number of them is the only detail that seems to stick out to me.

EDIT: I just popped over to the EMH 2011 thread and someone mentioned that Vince is skipping the chat action because of early classes. This could be a valid excuse or an instance of "busyness beneath." I'm not acquainted with Vince's chatting pattern, but just throwing that out there. (:
