Also, we shouldn't be so quick to accept Corenthal is dead.

But he isn't dead. Didn't we get a decoded message that said as much?

Oh EMH. You make us wait so long for Slendy, leave us chomping at the bit and at the edge of our seats, and just before THIS ISN'T SLENDER RELATED ANYMORE - boom.
Always worth the wait.

Anywho, who's up for bugging the guys to upload pictures of all the stuff they found?

Is anyone else curious why Evan was telling Vinnie "Sometimes you just gotta learn to say no" at 2:21? I wander what that's pertaining to.

Who was that guy in the suit, most importantly?

Unless it's the ghost of Corenthal?

they went back in time, and that was corenthal. Like what i was saying, what he probably meant by "I've failed you all...". was that maybe he failed in breaking the cycle.

most likely (or hopefully) just some unimportant dialogue not pertaining to the story.

Hopefully. I'm always curious about how they choose what random dialogue to leave in and whether or not it ever has significance. Just figured I'd mention it.

so far, the majority of the random dialogue was unimportant, so im sure it's unimportant. i mean what would Evan tell jessie to say "no" to that involves the story? sounds more like day to day business (get it? day to day? as in the new music track i made...? XD)

Here is the best screencap I could get of the radio-that's-not-a-radio.

I messed with the exposure some hoping to get a bit more lighting. It looks like a Geiger counter to me.

I don't know why everyone is saying Dr. Corenthal is Slender Man, but not one ever theorizes that he is Habit (or at least the current incarnation of Habit). Has that been debunked or something?

i was thinking the same thing.

So have we ruled out the possibility that it's a tape recorder, or perhaps that camera HABIT used to have?

Since the mining town 4 are from the seventies, I doubt that the object is an older type of audio cassette recorder. It's too small and wrong shape.

Here's a picture example:

http://www.bodhgayanews.net/recording/recording-02.htm

I doubt it's a video camera because of the size, even the more expensive compact versions back then were cumbersome and had attachments that the object the boys were showing off doesn't have. It also has on the front a white screen with what looks like level readings and a needle.

If it was a camera, it would have to a type that usually only PIs or someone with a connection to a CIA/KGB equipment would be able to get ahold of. Even then, somebody was one determined son of a bitch to break/saw off all of the attachments to make it look like something else.

The above site has images of various video cameras and photographic cameras.

I'm changing my mind on the ionizing chamber, and leaning more towards the multi-detector. However, we haven't seen everything in those boxes, so who knows for sure until they show off everything in better light. Even in the highest quality settings possible, it's still hard to get a good look at the object.

And for fun, a few images of a Geiger counter.

*Of course, nearly forty years later, it is pretty damn hard to find older models of this equipment, so I'm willing to cut them some slack on this part.*

Of course, the whole 1970s thing is more evidence that the Corenthal appearance was some sort of time-slip. That was some seriously 70s hair he was rocking.

I, for one, would like to see the guys in 70's get-up, if flashbacks were ever to happen. Very Happy

Grab your pruning shears, because I have a couple of trees.

It's possible that Vince received the brunt of the Slenderizing treatment because of, or as a result of, whatever backroom doings he's been performing as the Voyeur.

One possibility: He's been working off-the-record with Man himself, trying to bargain for more information about their (or their predecessors') past, and Slendy chose this opportunity for a little ironic payment. "Oh, you want to know about the Mining Town 4 and associates? Here, let me show you ol' Doc Corenthal. All it'll cost is a little sinus rape. You can thank me later."

Another possibility: Voyeur Vince has been working with someone else, and whatever dealings he's done have accidentally (or not) triggered the time warp. Slendy is pissed, so he shows up to make Vince suffer for what he's done.
